Quinnipiac women's cross country freshman Emily Wolff (Highlands Ranch, Colo.) was named the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division I Rookie of the Week for all races held from Sept. 15-21.

Five Bobcats Place in Top 10 to Lead QU Women's Cross Country to Monmouth Invitational Victory
The Quinnipiac women's cross country team showcased their superior depth on Saturday as the Bobcats captured the Monmouth Invitational victory from Holmdel Park. In what has now become a fixture within the women’s cross country program, Quinnipiac’s depth was on fully display in Saturday’s meet as five Bobcats placed in the Top 10 overall. For the day, Quinnipiac totaled 31 points which was more than double the day’s total for the second place finisher in Marist (71).

Niamh Ashe and Tracy Campbell Leads QU Women's Cross Country to 5th Place at Nassaney Memorial Race
The Quinnipiac women's cross country team placed fifth at the Shawn M. Nassaney Memorial Race hosted by Bryant University on Saturday morning. The Bobcats' benefited greatly from the 2014 season debuts of sophomore Niamh Ashe (East Islip, N.Y.) and junior Tracy Campbell (Wall Township, N.J.) as the pair both placed in the Top 20 overall. Boston University finished first in the team standings with 45 points while Quinnipiac earned the fifth place result with 127 points.

Women's Cross Country Places 3rd in 2014 Season Opener at the Stony Brook Invitational
The Quinnipiac women's cross country team opened their 2014 season with a 3rd place finish at the Stony Brook Invitational. In a race dominated by the Bobcats' underclassmen contingent, six of the top seven finishers for Quinnipiac were freshmen runners including two first-year Bobcats (70 points) who each placed in the Top 10. The host Seawolves took first place with 19 points while Sacred Heart placed second with 56 points.

Women's Cross Country Tabbed Second in MAAC Preseason Coaches' Poll
The Quinnipiac women's cross country team was chosen to finish second in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll, as announced on Tuesday, Aug. 12. The Bobcats, just one year removed from finishing as the runner-up in their debut season in the MAAC, will look to dethrone the nine-time defending champions Iona in the conference championship meet at Holmdel Park on Oct. 31, 2014.

Quinnipiac Athletics' 2013-14 Student-Athletes Complete Top Academic Year In Program History
Quinnipiac University Director of Athletics & Recreation Jack McDonald has announced all-time highs in several academic areas for the 2013-14 season. Quinnipiac’s 414 student-athletes posted a program best 3.293 cumulative grade-point-average, while all but one of Quinnipiac’s 21 varsity teams posted a team GPA of 3.0 or higher.

Women's Cross Country's Season Ends with 17th Place Result at NCAA Regionals; Best Finishing Place in NCAA Event Since 2009
In what amounted to another typical Quinnipiac women's cross country performance, filled with strong runners up and down the roster, the Bobcats landed themselves in 17th place at the NCAA Northeast Regional event from Van Cortlandt Park. All seven Quinnipiac competitors finished within the Top 150 overall and another standout day from freshman Niamh Ashe (East Islip, N.Y.) helped lead the way. The Bobcats amounted 516 points while the winner on the afternoon was Providence with 44 points.

A total of 12 members of the Quinnipiac women’s cross country team were named to the 2013 MAAC Women’s Cross Country All-Academic Team on Nov. 1, 2013. Quinnipiac was second behind only Marist in total student-athletes who earned the distinction.

Women's Cross Country Places Five Runners in Top 20 to Earn Second Place Finish in First Ever MAAC Championship
In typical Quinnipiac women's cross country fashion, the Bobcats displayed superior depth to finish second overall in their first MAAC Championship appearance on Friday from Van Cortlandt Park. Five Bobcats placed in the Top 20 while an incredible total of 12 Quinnipiac runners earned a spot within the first 41 finishers for the best average finish (24) of any team in competition today. Despite the incredible total team effort, the Bobcats were outdone by Iona who picked up their ninth straight MAAC title on Friday. The Gaels managed to place four runners in the Top 5 overall which proved too much for the Bobcat depth to overcome.

Women's Cross Country Places 7th (out of 15) at CCSU Mini Meet; Class of 2014 Honored for Senior Day
A host of nine Quinnipiac women's cross country seniors were honored before Friday's CCSU Mini Meet for Senior Day before the team placed 7th out of 15 teams in a slimmed down 3k race. Fittingly enough, all six of the Bobcats' top finishers for the meet are members of the Class of 2014. Senior Jessica Soja (Simsbury, Conn.) was the top finisher, placing 7th overall out of 137 competitors to lead the Bobcats to 154 points. UMass Amherst was the top-finishing team with 78 points on the afternoon.

Ashe has been a tireless competitor all season and was recognized for her first career weekly award after another sensation outing on Saturday.

Bobcats Finish 6th (out of 43) at New England Championships; Niamh Ashe (11th Overall) Finishes With All-New England Honors
The Quinnipiac women's cross country team continues to surge forward into their championship season as they finished an impressive 6th overall out of 43 teams in the New England Cross Country Championships. Racing from Franklin Park in downtown Boston, the Bobcats' freshman Niamh Ashe (East Islip, N.Y.) posted an 11th place finish out of 283 competitors to land a spot on the All-New England team. Quinnipiac recorded 193 points on Saturday to finish sixth while New Hampshire won the meet with 57 points.

Women's Cross Country Races to 20th Place Finish (out of 48 teams) in Paul Short Women's Gold 6k Run
The Bobcats continue to trend upwards as the Quinnipiac women's cross country team placed 20th (out of 48 teams) in the Paul Short Women's Gold 6k Run. It was freshman Niamh Ashe (East Islip, N.Y.) again leading the way for the Bobcats on Saturday as she crossed the line in 35th place, fifth-fastest among all the freshmen competitors. The Bobcats’ 20th place result was ahead of regional power Albany as Quinnipiac finished with 609 points while Georgetown University picked up the team victory with 112 points.

Another impressive outing from Quinnipiac women's cross country freshman Niamh Ashe (East Islip, N.Y.) carried the Bobcats (122 points) to a third place finish out of 20 teams at the Iona Meet of Champions from Van Cortlandt Park. This results marks the third straight Top-3 finish for the Bobcats to start the season as they placed behind Albany (67 points) and fellow MAAC foe Iona (100 points).

It was a day to remember for the Quinnipiac women's cross country team as they put together a sensation team effort, placing second overall at the Shawn M. Nassaney Memorial Race on Saturday. The Bobcats showed great depth, placing four runners in the Top-20 overall standings to claim the second place finish. Their 85 points were behind the University of Connecticut, who won the event with 46 points, but one spot ahead of No. 25 nationally-ranked Boston College (86 points).

Women's Cross Country Shows Superior Depth, Wins Stony Brook Invitational; Seven Bobcats Place in Top-15 Overall
Any residual effect from a long offseason were quickly put to rest for the Quinnipiac women's cross country team as they won the Stony Brook Invitational on Saturday. An incredible total of seven Bobcats placed in the Top-15 overall out of 68 total runners in the 4k event. The Bobcats compiled a total of 37 points with an average time of 15:41.97 to win the event over host Stony Brook, who finished in second with 45 points.

Seniors Becca White and Morgan Roche Lead Bobcats to 20th Place Finish at NCAA Northeast Regional
Quinnipiac women's cross country seniors Becca White (Natick, Mass.) and Morgan Roche (Clifton Park, N.Y.) finished their careers in style as the Bobcats finished 20th out of 37 teams at the 2012 NCAA Northeast Regional at Hammonassett State Park. White placed 86th overall out of 250 runners to lead the way for Quinnipiac while Roche was third on the team and crossed the finish line in 108th position. The team equaled their 20th place finish from last year’s NCAA Northeast Regional and completed another successful championship season. Providence won the event with 46 points.

Outstanding Team Effort Carries Women's Cross Country to Record Eighth Straight NEC Championship
The Quinnipiac women's cross country showed their impeccable depth on their way to capturing an eighth consecutive Northeast Conference Championship on Saturday. The Bobcat’s eight-year championship winning streak is the longest current streak in any NEC-sponsored sport. Four Bobcats garnered All-Conference honors and all seven qualifying runners for Quinnipiac placed within the first 23 competitors to finish in the 5k event. Sacred Heart finished runner-up with 54 points compared to the Bobcat’s 46.

Women's Cross Country Seeking Astonishing Eighth Consecutive NEC Title Saturday at 11 a.m. in Smithfield, R.I.
The Bobcats women's cross country team will look to add another title to their already unprecedented streak. Quinnipiac has won the NEC Championship every year since 2005, an NEC record, and with several key contributors to last season’s squad returning, the Bobcats were been chosen as the preseason favorites by the NEC coaches. Not only have the Bobcats won a record seven straight NEC Championships, they have done so in dominating fashion. Since splitting the Championship with Sacred Heart in 2005, the Bobcats have beaten the runner-up team by an average of 33.5 points in that six-year stretch. Quinnipiac has also fielded the most individual champions with six and only twice in their seven-year reign has the NEC individual champion come from another school.

The Quinnipiac women's cross country team finished ninth among 14 competitors at the Central Connecticut State Mini Meet on Saturday in the pouring rain. The Bobcats were led by freshman Rebecca Morse (West Newbury, Mass.) who placed 44th with a time of 11:16.24 in the 3k event.

Becca White Places 12th at Princeton Invitational, Leads Bobcats to 18th (of 25 teams) Overall
Senior Becca White (Natick, Mass.) led the women's cross country team for the fourth time in four races this season and the Bobcats finishes with 469 points and a 18th-place finish at the Princeton University Invitational. The two-time Northeast Conference Athlete of the Week this season, White crossed the finish line of the 6k event in 22:00. Columbia came away with the first-place result among the 25 competing teams with 83 points.

Women's Cross Country Shows Great Depth; Places 9th Overall at New England Championships
The Quinnipiac women's cross country team was one of only four other schools competing at Sunday’s New England Championships to place all seven runners in the top-100 and their great depth helped lead to a 9th place (264 points) showing (out of 37 teams). Senior Morgan Roche (Clifton Park, N.Y.) led the Bobcat contingent with her 40th place finish and junior Jessica Soja (Simsbury, Conn.) was right behind her in 42nd place in a field 251 runners deep. The Boston College women took home first place for the second consecutive year with 45 points.

The Quinnipiac women's cross country team received national attention on Tuesday, Oct. 2 as the team was ranked No. 15 in the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) NCAA Division I Northeast Regional Women’s Cross Country Poll. The appearance in the Northeast Poll is the first time the Bobcats have been ranked since the team was No. 12 on Sept. 27, 2010.

The Quinnipiac women's cross country team earned their second sweep of the Northeast Conference Weekly awards as senior Becca White (Natick, Mass.) claimed the NEC Athlete of the Week and freshman Chelsea Savage (Pembroke, Mass.) took home the NEC Rookie of the Week. The announcement was made by the league office on Tuesday, Oct. 2. The second sweep of the weekly awards is the most for the Bobcats in a season since they claimed three in 2010.

The Quinnipiac men’s and women’s cross country teams joined up to help run the third annual Mari’s Miles of Smiles Road Race in Cheshire held on Saturday, Sept. 22. The joint volunteer mission was part of Quinnipiac’s Positive Play Initiative, designed to encourage community service by Quinnipiac’s student-athletes, coaches and staff.

The Quinnipiac women’s cross country team placed 18th at the 39th annual Lehigh Paul Short Run on Friday morning. The Bobcats competed against 39 collegiate teams in the Women’s Gold 6k Race and finished with a total of 593 points, while Cornell University won the meet with 55 points. Senior Becca White (Natick, Mass.) led the Bobcat contingent with a 74th-place finish and a time of 21:50.

The Bobcats received 631 points overall, while Syracuse won the regional meet with a combined 116 points. The Quinnipiac women’s cross country team placed ninth in the varsity race and eighth in the sub varsity meet at the New England (NEICAAA) Championships on Saturday, Oct. 8 at Franklin Park in Boston Mass. Thirty-nine teams competed in the women’s varsity race, where Boston College won with 38 points, while Quinnipiac finished with a total of 279 points. Junior Becca White (Natick, Mass) paced the Bobcats with a ninth place finish in 18:04.

Quinnipiac women’s cross country junior Becca White (Natick, Mass.) was named the Northeast Conference Athlete of the Week as announced by the league office on Tuesday, Oct. 4. The weekly accolade is White’s first NEC honor of the 2011 season.

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Quinnipiac women’s cross country team placed 25th at the 38th Annual Paul Short Run at Lehigh University on Friday morning. The Bobcats competed against 45 collegiate teams in the Gold 6k Race and finished with a total of 743 points, while Providence College won the meet with 101 points. Junior Rebecca White (Natick, Mass.) paced Quinnipiac with a 55th-place finish in 21:35.

The Quinnipiac women’s cross country team won the 17th Annual Monmouth Invitational on Saturday morning. The Bobcats competed against a total of 16 teams and took the first-place finish with 43 points. Sophomore Becca White (Natick, Mass.) paced Quinnipiac on the 5k course as she placed fourth overall in 18:29.

The Quinnipiac women’s cross country team placed sixth out of 17 teams at the annual Fordham Fiasco on Saturday morning. The Bobcats finished with a total of 173 points, while Princeton posted 34 points for the win. Sophomore Brianna Faust (Macungie, Pa.) was Quinnipiac’s top runner, placing 20th overall in 18:55.

The Quinnipiac women’s cross country team ran at the Stony Brook Season Opener on Saturday morning. Junior Becca White (Natick, Mass.) was the Bobcats’ top finisher, placing third overall in 14:19. Stony Brook won the meet with 18 points, while Quinnipiac placed second with 41 points and CW Post took third with 85 points.

Women's Cross Country Ranked First In 2011 NEC Pre-Season Coaches Poll
The Quinnipiac University women’s cross country team was unanimously picked to finish first in the 2011 Northeast Conference Preseason Coaches Poll as announced by the league office on Wednesday, Aug. 10. The Bobcats won their sixth consecutive NEC women’s cross country championship last season, led by the 2010 NEC Outstanding Performer, Becca White (Natick, Mass.), who won the championship meet with a record-breaking time of 17:17.

HAMDEN, Conn. – The Connecticut Department of Transportation recently updated the highway sign on Interstate-91 North, just before exit 10 in Hamden. The sign was updated with NEC Championships for the 2009 Women's Cross Country tram and the 2010 Men's Tennis team.

Sophomore Becca White (Natick, Mass.) won the 5k race and set a NEC championship record as she led the Bobcats to another NEC title. Quinnipiac finished first with 34 points, while Monmouth University finished second with 69 points.

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Quinnipiac University women's cross country team ran at the Paul Short Invitational held at Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pa. on Friday, Oct. 1. The 37th Annual Invitational had over 5,000 runners from 230 colleges and high schools scheduled to compete in races throughout the day. The Bobcats finished in 25th place out of 41 teams in the Women's College Gold 6K Race. Sophomore Becca White (Natick, Mass.) finished in 46th place overall and was Quinnipiac's top finisher with a time of 21:27.

Men's And Women's Cross Country Volunteers With Mari's Miles of Smiles
HAMDEN, Conn. - The Quinnipiac University men's and women's cross country teams volunteered at the Cheshire 10k road race for Mari's Miles of Smiles on Saturday, Sept. 25. The Mari Hall Family Foundation hosted its first annual road race, which has been the organization's largest fundraiser. The foundation was created to promote awareness of ASD (autism spectrum disorder) and make a difference in the lives of those living ASD.

Faust finished the race with a time of 18:41, close behind teammate Becca White (Natick, Mass.) who won the Invitational in 18:13.

Martin And Dickerson Named NEC Women's Cross Country Coaching Staff Of The Year
Quinnipiac University head cross country and track and field coach Carolyn Martin and assistant coach Christopher Dickerson were named the Northeast Conference Women’s Cross Country Coaching Staff of the Year, as announced by the league office on Tuesday. This marks the second time in three seasons that Coach Martin has won the NEC award.
