      <description>Five Quinnipiac University athletic teams were recognized by the NCAA for strong Academic Progress Ratings (APR), as announced by members of the association on Friday, June 15, 2012. Women&#x2019;s basketball once again represented the Bobcats for the fifth consecutive year, while women&#x2019;s indoor track, women&#x2019;s outdoor track, women&#x2019;s cross country and women&#x2019;s tennis, like last year, were also named to the list.</description>

      <title>Women's Cross Country Finish 20th At 2011 NCAA Northeast Regionals</title>

      <description>The Quinnipiac women&#x2019;s cross country team placed 20th out of 36 teams at the 2011 NCAA Division I Northeast Regional Cross Country Championships on Saturday afternoon. The Bobcats received 631 points overall, while Syracuse won the regional meet with a combined 116 points. Junior Andrea Szarkowicz (Watertown, Conn.) paced Quinnipiac as she placed 109th with a time of 23:08.2.</description>

      <description>The Quinnipiac women&#x2019;s cross country team won its seventh consecutive Northeast Conference Championship on Saturday morning at Holmdel Park in Holmdel, N.J. The Bobcats took first place, out of 12 teams, with a total of 44 points and were paced by senior Morgan Roche (Clifton Park, N.Y.), who finished in fifth place overall in 19:02.70.</description>

The Bobcats compiled 49 points for the second place finish, while Providence College won the 3k with 37 points overall. Quinnipiac&#x2019;s five graduating seniors were honored after the meet.</description>

      <description>The Quinnipiac women&#x2019;s cross country team placed ninth in the varsity race and eighth in the sub varsity meet at the New England (NEICAAA) Championships on Saturday, Oct. 8 at Franklin Park in Boston Mass. Thirty-nine teams competed in the women&#x2019;s varsity race, where Boston College won with 38 points, while Quinnipiac finished with a total of 279 points. Junior Becca White (Natick, Mass) paced the Bobcats with a ninth place finish in 18:04.</description>

The Bobcats competed against 45 collegiate teams in the Gold 6k Race and finished with a total of 743 points, while Providence College won the meet with 101 points. Junior Rebecca White (Natick, Mass.) paced Quinnipiac with a 55th-place finish in 21:35.</description>
