HAMDEN, Conn. – The Quinnipiac University men’s and women’s cross country teams volunteered at the third annual 2011 West Rock Challenge Race on Sunday, Aug. 21. The event was hosted by the Habitat For Humanity of Greater New Haven.
The Bobcats helped out at the cross country mountain-style race, which was held at Lake Wintergreen at West Rock Ridge State Park in Hamden, Conn. The races included a nine-mile run and 5k trail race where Quinnipiac worked the finish shoot, gave out water, helped direct participants and cheered on runners at the event.
Both teams kick off the upcoming 2011 season at the Stony Brook Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 3.
