HAMDEN, Conn. - The Quinnipiac University men's and women's cross country teams will host the annual Quinnipiac University Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 18. The women are set to race at 11 a.m. on the 5K course, while the men will run the 8K course at noon. Non-conference opponents Yale University and Stonehill College will be joining the Bobcats at the Invitational.
This season, the Bobcats have earned two Northeast Conference honors. Following the CCSU Blue Devil Invitational on Sept. 11, Becca White (Natick, Mass.) and Amanda Faust (Macungie, Pa.) were named NEC Women's Cross Country Athlete and Rookie of the Week, respectively. White earned NEC Athlete of the Week after placing third and finishing the 5K course in 17:57. Faust was named NEC Rookie of the Week after placing 10th overall with a time of 18:27. The women's team is ranked No. 12 in the latest United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Northeast Region Poll after finishing second at the CCSU Invitational.

Seniors Kristen Stevens (Succasunna, N.J.) and John Greenlaw (Hampstead, N.H.) will be running for the last time on the Quinnipiac Cross Country Course and will be recognized for their achievements at Quinnipiac.
