Women's Cross Country Places 20th At NCAA Regionals
MADISON, Conn. - The Quinnipiac University women's cross country team ended the 2010 season with a 20th place finish at the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Div I Northeast Regionals meet on Saturday. The women's 6k race was hosted by Yale and Fairfield and was held at Hammonasset State Park in Madison, Conn. at Noon.

HAMDEN, Conn. - The Quinnipiac University women's cross country team received All-Academic honors by the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association, as announced by the association on Feb. 16.

I-91 Highway Sign Updated To Reflect Latest Quinnipiac Athletic Championships
HAMDEN, Conn. – The Connecticut Department of Transportation recently updated the highway sign on Interstate-91 North, just before exit 10 in Hamden. The sign was updated with NEC Championships for the 2009 Women's Cross Country tram and the 2010 Men's Tennis team.

White Leads Women's Cross Country To Sixth Consecutive NEC Championship Title
NEW BRITAIN, Conn. - The Quinnipiac University women's cross country team won its sixth consecutive Northeast Conference Championship on Saturday, Oct. 30 at Stanley Quarter Park in New Britain, Conn. Sophomore Becca White (Natick, Mass.) won the 5k race and set a NEC championship record as she led the Bobcats to another NEC title. Quinnipiac finished first with 34 points, while Monmouth University finished second with 69 points.

Women's Cross Country Finishes Second At CCSU Mini-Meet
NEW BRITAIN, Conn. - The Quinnipiac University women's cross country team finished second out of nine teams at the CCSU Mini-Meet held at Stanley Quarter Park. The University of Connecticut women placed first with a score of 50. The Bobcats finished the 3k race ahead of Northeast Conference opponents Central Connecticut State University and Fairleigh Dickinson University.

NEC Honors Women's Cross Country's White and Faust
Hamden, Conn. -Quinnipiac women's cross country's Becca White (Natick, Mass.) and Amanda Faust (Macungie, Pa.) were honored by the Northeast Conference for the second consecutive week on Tuesday, October 12. White was named the NEC Player of the Week for the third time this season, while Faust was awarded her fourth career NEC Rookie of the Week honor.

Women's Cross Country Places Fifth At New England Championships
BOSTON, Mass. - The Quinnipiac University women's cross country team placed fifth in both the varsity and sub varsity meets at the 98th New England Cross Country Championships on Saturday, October 9, in Franklin Park, Boston, Mass. Becca White (Natick, Mass) and Kristen Stevens (Succasunna, N.J) were both named Top 25 All-New England. Boston College won in both of the women's 5k races.

Women's Cross Country Sweeps NEC Weekly Awards For Second Time This Season
HAMDEN, Conn. - Two Quinnipiac University women's cross country runners were honored by the Northeast Conference on Tuesday, Oct. 5. Sophomore Rebecca White (Natick, Conn.) was named NEC Player of the Week for the second time this season, while Freshman Amanda Faust (Macungie, Pa.) received her third NEC Rookie of the Week award.

Women's Cross Country Runs At Paul Short Invitational
BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Quinnipiac University women's cross country team ran at the Paul Short Invitational held at Lehigh University in Bethlehem, Pa. on Friday, Oct. 1. The 37th Annual Invitational had over 5,000 runners from 230 colleges and high schools scheduled to compete in races throughout the day. The Bobcats finished in 25th place out of 41 teams in the Women's College Gold 6K Race. Sophomore Becca White (Natick, Mass.) finished in 46th place overall and was Quinnipiac's top finisher with a time of 21:27.

Women's Cross Country's Faust Triplets Featured In New Haven Register
Quinnipiac University freshman Amanda, Briana and Christina Faust (Allentown, Pa.) were featured in the New Haven Register in an article written by staff writer Jim Fuller. The triplets have made an immediate impact on the perennially strong women's cross country team, establishing themselves in the Bobcats' top five runners early in their careers.

Men's And Women's Cross Country Volunteers With Mari's Miles of Smiles
HAMDEN, Conn. - The Quinnipiac University men's and women's cross country teams volunteered at the Cheshire 10k road race for Mari's Miles of Smiles on Saturday, Sept. 25. The Mari Hall Family Foundation hosted its first annual road race, which has been the organization's largest fundraiser. The foundation was created to promote awareness of ASD (autism spectrum disorder) and make a difference in the lives of those living ASD.

HAMDEN, Conn. - The Quinnipiac University women's cross country team was ranked 12th out of 15 teams in the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Northeast Regional Poll, released on Monday, Sept. 27. This is the third week in a row that the Bobcats have placed 12th in the regional poll. Quinnipiac was again the only Northeast Conference institution featured in the weekly poll.

Amanda Faust Captures Second NEC Rookie of the Week
HAMDEN, Conn - Quinnipiac University freshman cross country runner Amanda Faust (Macungie, Pa.) has been named Northeast Conference Rookie of the Week for the second week in a row of the after capturing second place at the Quinnipiac Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 19. Faust finished the race with a time of 18:41, close behind teammate Becca White (Natick, Mass.) who won the Invitational in 18:13.

Women's Cross Country Runs Away With Invitational
HAMDEN, Conn. - The Quinnipiac University women's cross country team placed first at the Quinnipiac University Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 18. The Bobcats won their second race of the season with 15 points overall. Stonehill College placed second with 53 points, while Yale University finished third with 79 points. Sophomore Becca White (Natick, Mass.) won her first meet of the season, with a time of 18:13.

Cross Country Hosts Invitational On Saturday, Sept. 18
HAMDEN, Conn. - The Quinnipiac University men's and women's cross country teams will host the annual Quinnipiac University Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 18. The women are set to race at 11 a.m. on the 5K course, while the men will run the 8K course at noon. Non-conference opponents Yale University and Stonehill College will be joining the Bobcats at the Invitational.

The Bobcats finished ahead of Northeast Conference opponents Monmouth, Sacred Heart, Central Connecticut and Bryant with a total of 52 points.

HAMDEN, Conn. - Quinnipiac will host the 2010 Cross Country Challenge on Thursday, Aug. 19 at 6 p.m. on the Mt. Carmel Campus of Quinnipiac University in Hamden, Conn. Runners will be able to compete on the same course that hosted the 2010 Northeast Conference Cross Country Championship.
