set a personal record in the 3000m (10:41.84) and placed sixth at URI's Sorlein Memorial Indoor Classic on Jan. 20...set a personal record in the 5000m (18:33.32) at the Terrier Invitational on Jan. 26...competed in the 3000m (11:00.38) at the NEC Championships on Feb. 10...set a personal record in the 5000m (18:20.00) at the New England Championships on Feb. 23.

As a junior (cross country):
Finished 38th overall and 12th on the team in 20:26.2 at the Quinnipiac Invitational on Sept. 22.

As a sophomore (outdoors):
Placed fifth in the 10,000m (40:23.44) and set a personal record at the New York Relays on Apr. 21...placed 10th in the 10,000m (41:26.66) at the NEC Championships on May 6...finished 12th in the 10,000m (40:21.63) at the New England Championships on May 12.

As a sophomore (indoors):
Finished 13th in the 5000m (20:03.57) at the NEC Championships on Feb. 12.

As a freshman:
Competed in the sub-varsity race (20:21) at the New England Championships on Oct. 8th.

Before Quinnipiac:
Attended Souhegan high school where she ran cross country along with indoor and outdoor track...honored as an all-state cross country selection.

Born in Nashua, N.H...daughter of Sally and Mike Varanka...has a younger sister, Cassandra...majoring in physical therapy.
