Quinnipiac Director of Athletics and Recreation Jack McDonald has announced that Kristopher Czaplinski has been hired as Head Coach of the Women’s Volleyball Program. Czaplinski comes to QU from Post University where he served as the Eagles’ Assistant Coach for the past two years.

Czaplinski came to Quinnipiac after spending two seasons at Post University, a member of the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC). While with the volleyball program, he helped guide the Eagles to a fourth place finish last season in the North Division of the league. Czaplinski spearheaded recruiting operations, scheduling and prepared game tactics and strategies during his stint with the team.

In addition to Post, Czaplinski allocates much of his time to the Connecticut Sports Center in Woodbridge, Conn. Since 2003, he has been the Varsity Coach of the Junior Olympic Girls’ Volleyball program, a club consisting of student-athletes ranging from 16-18 years old. Czaplinski also organizes elite summer programs for athletes aspiring to play at the collegiate level.

A 2006 graduate of the University of New Haven with a degree in Business Administration, Czaplinski was a four-year letter-winner on the volleyball team. While at UNH, he was the team’s setter for four years, and holds the all-time record in career assists (2,690) and single-season assists (1,760). He was a team-captain in 2006.

While at Post, Czaplinski began working towards a Master’s of Education in 2010. He resides in Shelton, Conn.
