Volleyball Falls To Morgan State, Army

WEST POINT, N.Y. - Kelby Carey (Surfside, Calif.) compiled 14 kills and Logan Riker (Bowling Green, Ohio) had 23 digs, but the Quinnipiac University volleyball team was defeated by Morgan State and Army Friday, both by a score of 3-0, in the West Point Challenge. With the losses, the Bobcats fall to 0-10, while the Bears improve to 5-10 and the Black Knights move to 9-3.

Kayla Lawler (Richmond, Ind.) had 33 assists for the Bobcats, while Taylor Payne (Warwick, N.Y.) had a team-high three blocks on the day.

Quinnipiac fell to Morgan State, 25-14, 25-22, 25-20, while the Black Knights earned a 25-8, 25-23, 25-9 victory.

The Bobcats return to action Sunday, when they play host to St. Francis (N.Y.) in their home and Northeast Conference opener. First serve is scheduled for 2 p.m.
