Volleyball Defeated By Marist, Iona

NEW YORK - Kelby Carey (Surfside, Calif.) compiled 20 kills and Logan Riker (Bowling Green, Ohio) had 29 digs, but the Quinnipiac University volleyball team was defeated by Marist and Iona Saturday, both by a score of 3-0, to complete action in the Columbia Invitational.

Kayla Lawler (Richmond, Ind.) had 46 assists for the Bobcats, while Taylor Payne (Warwick, N.Y.) had a team-high three blocks on the day.

Quinnipiac fell to Marist, 25-19, 25-15, 25-17, while the Gaels earned a 25-21, 25-16, 25-16 victory.

The Bobcats return to action Friday, when they play two matches in the West Point Challenge. They'll face Morgan State at 10 a.m., before facing host Army at noon.
