Quinnipiac Women's Indoor and Outdoor Track & Field Receive NCAA Academic Public Recognition Awards
Quinnipiac University's women's cross country, women's indoor and outdoor track & field and women's golf teams were all recognized by the NCAA for continued academic excellence. Based on their most recent multi-year Academic Progress Rate (APR), the Bobcats have earned NCAA Academic Public Recognition Awards for posting scores in the top 10 percent of their sport.

Vincent Guglietti and Becca White Named Quinnipiac May Athletes of the Month
Bobcats' baseball junior Vincent Guglietti (East Haven, Conn.) and women’s outdoor track & field senior Becca White (Natick, Mass.) have been named the Quinnipiac May Athletes of the Month, which was announced on Wednesday, May 4, 2014.

Women's Outdoor Track & Field's 4x800m Relay Lands Top 5 Finish in Final Day of New England Championships
Coming off a very successful first day of action at the New England Championships, the Quinnipiac women's outdoor track and field team closed out the championship meet with another solid day of action from the event held at Westfield State University. The highlight of the day for the Bobcats came in the 4x800m as a team of four runners scored a Top 5 finish to walk away with All-New England honors. The Bobcats finished the two-day championship meet with five points, good enough for 34th place out of 39 teams. Rhode Island edged Southern Conn. State for the New England Championship by a mere one point.

Becca White Places in 5000m Run in Day One of the New England Championships
Racing in her final New England Championships, Quinnipiac women's outdoor track & field graduate student Becca White (Natick, Mass.) added to her already distinguished legacy by placing in the 5000m on Friday from Westfield State University. White was the lone Bobcat to place on the day in which Quinnipiac fielded runners in six different events at the annual gathering of the top track and field talent all throughout New England.

Women's Outdoor Track & Field Finishes MAAC Championships in 6th Place Overall
The Quinnipiac University women's outdoor track & field team placed 6th at their first ever MAAC Championship on Sunday. The Bobcats accumulated 55 total points (29 on day one and 26 on day two) as many individuals and relay teams showed well in their first crack in the new Conference Championship. Monmouth University dominated the leaderboard with 306 total points to run away with their first MAAC Championship, besting second place Rider by 173 points.

Women's Outdoor Track & Field Names 19 to MAAC All-Academic Team
A total of 19 members of the Quinnipiac women's outdoor track & field team were named to the 2014 MAAC Women's Outdoor Track & Field All-Academic Team on May 3, 2014. Quinnipiac finished with the second-most in the conference behind Marist's 20 but on a percentage-based number, the Bobcats had the highest percentage of eligible players on the team qualify for All-Academic honors.

Bobcats Post Best Day One Start to Conference Championship in Program History, Sit in 4th Place at MAAC Championships
After the final whistle blew on Day One of the MAAC Women's Outdoor Track & Field Championships, the Bobcats found all sorts of success throughout the afternoon on their way to 29 points, good enough for 4th place and their best day one start to a Conference Championship in program history. The Quinnipiac women's outdoor track 4x800m relay finished third overall, three Bobcats placed in the 3000m steeplechase and two Bobcats placed in the javelin throw for the first time in program history. Monmouth University holds a commanding lead with 101 points while Rider sits in 2nd place with 46 points.

QU Women's Outdoor Track & Field Ready For First Attempt at MAAC Championship
The 2014 MAAC Women's Outdoor Track & Field Championship will be held this weekend, May 3-4, at Rider University in Lawrenceville, N.J. This marks the first appearance in the MAAC Championship for the Quinnipiac women's outdoor track & field team as they look to build on the momentum established at last year's Northeast Conference Championship where the Bobcats totaled 46 points, their most in a championship meet since 2008.

Women's Outdoor Track & Field Honors 13 Senior Class Members at Yale Springtime Invitational
In a day that featured a gusty wind with chilly temperatures throughout, the Quinnipiac University women's outdoor track and field team managed to put a smile on everyone’s face as they honored their 13 senior class members before the start of Sunday's Yale Springtime Invitational. The largest senior class in the history of the program featured many distinguished performers with individual accolades that will go down in the record books but they be missed more for their leadership and guiding spirit that has lifted the program to new heights the last few seasons.

Women's Outdoor Track & Field Distance Medley Relay Team Posts Outdoor Program Record at Penn Relays
Competing in arguably the world's most prestigious track meet other than the Olympics, the Quinnipiac women's outdoor track and field team posted two impressive results on Thursday in day one of the 120th running of the Penn Relays held at Franklin Field. The Bobcats were led by an inspired effort from their distance medley grouping while they also saw one of the program's all-time greatest in Becca White (Natick, Mass.) attack the 5000m against some of the toughest competition in the nation to complete the first day of action from Quinnipiac's contingent.

Jessica Soja and Jason Vancura Named 2013-14 Quinnipiac Senior Scholar-Athletes
Quinnipiac University hosted its 31st annual Senior Awards Ceremony on Saturday, April 26, 2014 at the Recreation Center on Mount Carmel Campus. Seniors Jason Vancura (Whitman, Mass.) of the men’s soccer team and Jessica Soja (Simsbury, Conn.) of the women’s cross country team were selected as the two recipients of this year's Quinnipiac Scholar-Athlete awards.

Tracy Campbell Dominates in the 1500m as Women's Outdoor Track & Field Close Out Larry Ellis Invitational
The Quinnipiac University women's outdoor track and field team finished competition at the Larry Ellis Invitational with one of the best 1500m runs the program has ever seen. Sophomore Tracy Campbell (Wall Township, N.J.) shined in her home state with the third-fastest 1500m in program history and the fastest since 2007 to highlight the Bobcats’ effort in the meet held at Princeton University on Saturday.

Faust Sisters Headline Friday's Action at Larry Ellis Invitational for Women's Outdoor Track & Field
The Quinnipiac University women's outdoor track and field team took a drive down to Princeton University to compete in the first of two days of action at the Larry Ellis Invitational. The Bobcats had a relatively light day as they fielded runners in just two events on Friday. Among the completed running events, the 800m was the shortest distance throughout the day as the meet featured specifically the distance events throughout the day. Competition will resume throughout the day on Saturday as the meet will round out with the remaining middle distance and sprint events.

4x800m Relay Victorious, Three Bobcats Place in 1500m to Lead Quinnipiac to 6th Place Finish at Rider Invitational
The Quinnipiac women's outdoor track and field team has much to be excited about in their sixth place finish at the Rider Invitational on Saturday. In the Bobcats' first appearance at the site of the upcoming MAAC Championships, Quinnipiac scored 59 points on Saturday to finish in sixth place behind several quality programs including Rider (1st place), Sacred Heart (2nd) and St. Peter’s (4th). Graduate student Becca White (Natick, Mass.) was a steady contributor as she helped combine on the 4x800m relay victory as well as her 2nd place finish in the 1500m.

Distance Medley Relay Team Posts 6th Place Finish to Close Out Colonial Relays for Women's Outdoor Track & Field
The Quinnipiac women's outdoor track and field team fielded two relay teams to close out their run in the second day of action at the Colonial Relays hosted by the College of William & Mary. The Bobcats' distance medley relay team picked up a 6th place result on the afternoon out of 19 teams while the 4x800m relay team filled with Quinnipiac upperclassmen also took to the track to wrap up their second straight week of competition down in Virginia. With the 6th place result in the distance medley relay, the Bobcats earned 11 total points to pick up a 28th place result out of 40 competing programs. Quinnipiac placed first among the three MAAC teams in action as Marist took 32nd while Iona took 35th. Rutgers won the event with 111 total points.

Bobcats Start Strong at Colonial Relays With Shameal Samuels' 4th Place Finish in 400m, Amanda Faust Posts Top 10 in 10,000m
A second trip down to Virginia for the Quinnipiac women's outdoor track & field team felt much like the first as the Bobcats stormed out of the gates with some strong performances in their opening day of action at the Colonial Relays hosted by the College of William & Mary. Just one week following an impressive debut at the Fred Hardy Invite from Richmond, Va., the Bobcats' sophomore Shameal Samuels (Hartford, Conn.) was at her best on Friday in her signature event while senior Amanda Faust (Macungie, Pa.) ran the fastest 10,000m since Becca White back on May 13, 2011 to earn a solid Top 10 finish.

Four Bobcats Combine for Victory in 4x800m Relay While Two Compete in First Throwing Event in Program History at Fred Hardy Invitational
If the remainder of the Quinnipiac women's outdoor track and field schedule is as successful for the Bobcats as it was on Saturday, the primed for another record-breaking season as they enter their first year as a member of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference. Bobcats could be found up-and-down the result list in events that five years prior, Quinnipiac had no realistic chance of competing. Two local products in sophomore Jennifer Mears (Vernon, Conn.) and freshman Cori Reid (Old Saybrook, Conn.) made Quinnipiac history competing in the javelin event at the Fred Hardy Invitational, becoming the first two Bobcats to ever compete in a throwing event in program history. Also leading the way on Saturday was a group of four Bobcat runners who combined to land a victory in the 4x800m relay event.

Chelsea Savage Dominates Steeplechase to Lead Bobcats in 2014 Season Opener at the Fred Hardy Invitational
Sophomore Chelsea Savage (Pembroke, Mass.) led strong effort for the Quinnipiac women's outdoor track and field team in their 2014 season opener at the Fred Hardy Invitational held at the University of Richmond. Savage dominated the 3000 meter steeplechase on Friday in her first career appearance in the event while the Bobcats showcased their traditional depth in the 1500m to highlight their day of action after a three-week break between indoor and outdoor seasons.
