Before Quinnipiac: Attended Washingtonville High School...Earned four varsity letters for outdoor track, three for cross country, two for indoor track and one for basketball...Led his team to a Cross Country Division Championship in 2008, the first in ten years...Was a member of the 4x800-meter team that qualified for Penn relays in 2008 and a member of the 4x800 and DMR teams that qualified for indoor nationals in 2008 and 2009...Varsity Captain of cross country and track in her senior year...Was a 2009 NYS indoor state qualifier for the 1000-meter run... Placed fifth at the 2009 NYS indoor championships for the intersectional relay...Was named 2009 Orange County Sportsman of the Year...Was named her cross country team's Most Improved Runner in 2006 and received the Triple D award, for dedication, desire and determination, in 2007 and 2008...Received the 2006 and 2008 outdoor track Coaches Award and was named the Most Improved Distance Runner in 2007...Won the indoor track Coaches award in 2008, while receiving the Triple D award for indoor track in 2009...Runs a personal best 19:50 in the 5k; 5:10 in the 1,500-meter race; 3:11 in the 1,000-meter race; and 2:27 in the 800-meter race.

Personal: A native of Campbell Hall, N.Y....Daughter of Tom and Pat...Has two brothers, Shawn and Ryan...Her father Tom ran cross country and track at St. John's University...In addition, her cousin Vinny Gangemi ran cross country and track at Long Island, while her cousin Andrew Gangemi ran cross country and track at St. Thomas Aquinas College...Majoring in physical therapy.
