Women's Indoor Track Runs In Final Day Of New England Championships

 BOSTON, Mass. – The Quinnipiac University women's indoor track and field team competed in the final day of the New England Indoor Championships on Saturday, Feb. 25 at Boston University.

"I really could not have asked for a better meet, as we had 95 percent of the team running either a personal record or season best," said head coach Carolyn Martin. "I was really happy with everyone's effort and I am looking forward to some even faster times during the outdoor season."

Senior Morgan Roche (Clifton Park, N.Y.) participated in the one-mile run, crossing the finish line in a personal-best, 4:57.64. Sophomore Jessica Soja (Simsbury, Conn.) also ran the one mile in 5:07.95.

Sophomore Christina Faust (Macungie, Pa.) set a personal record in the 3,000-meter run as she crossed the finish line in 10:26.81, followed by senior Julie Lanning (Victor, N.Y.), who finished the 3k in a season's best 10:39.85.

The Bobcats competed in the 4x800-meter relay, compiling a time of 9:27.38, and participated in the 4x400 in the final day of action.

QU returns to action when it competes at the ECAC Championships on March 3-4 at the Reggie Lewis Center in Boston, Mass.
