QU Women’s Tennis Team to Host NCAA Selection Show Watch Party

HAMDEN, Conn. – The Quinnipiac University women's tennis team will host a watch party for the NCAA tournament selection show in the Athletic Center Conference Room on Tuesday, April 29. The 2014 NCAA Women's Tennis Selection Show is scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m.

There will be an opportunity for media/fans to talk to Bobcat tennis coach Mike Quitko and members of the team afterwards. If fans cannot make it to the watch party, both shows will be streamed live on NCAA.com.

The Bobcats are coming off of their seventh Division I Conference Championship after defeating Fairfield by a score of 4-1 on Sunday afternoon. Quinnipiac captured the MAAC's automatic bid and will make its first appearance to the big dance since 2011. QU team faced UCLA (2011), Stanford University (2004, 2006), the University of Georgia (2005), UCLA (2007) and Miami (Fla.) (2008) in previous NCAA tournaments.

The first two rounds of the tournament will be played on Friday, May 9 and Saturday, May 10 at the home site of the 16 highest seeds. The remainder of the tournament will be played from May 15-26 at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex in Athens, Ga.
