Cantor's NCAA Banter: Day 2

Every day during the Quinnipiac women's tennis team's trip to the NCAA Tournament in Los Angeles, Calif., sophomore Rachel Cantor will keep you up to date on the team's activities.

Well, we may a big deal in Hamden, but certainly not in Hollywood. After catching up on some very much-needed sleep, we got up at around 9 so we could eat breakfast and get our bags ready for our big day ahead of us. Report time was at 10 a.m. We loaded the bus and off to Hollywood we went! It's never too early for some tunes. Well, Sarah Viebrock graced us with her beautiful voice once again, and by beautiful, I mean AWFUL! She still had Miley Cyrus' "Party In The USA" stuck in her head. As the bus ride went on, everyone was in awe of the Hollywood lifestyle. Rodeo Drive was absolutely unbelievable! Stores like Louis Vuitton, Valentino, Gucci, Dolce and Gabana and Prada filled the street! I went shopping at this really cute store in Hollywood called Planet Blue, where I bought a great summer dress! P.S. Thanks Mom and Dad for the dress! Wasn't going to tell you until the credit card bill came, but thanks for that! Adrienne came in the store with me and she got such a cute dress as well!

After we shopped, Adrienne, Beth and I went out to this amazing restaurant right on Rodeo Drive where we all got amazing salads! So far, no celebs to be spotted. After lunch, we met back up with the rest of the team at 2:45 p.m. We left at around 2:55 for the courts. We hit from 4-6 at the UCLA courts. UCLA has an amazing tennis facility and we are all so excited to play there tomorrow. It will be such a great experience to play at such a prestigious place like this. At practice, we all talked about how this is the moment we have been waiting for. We worked so hard to get here and, at this point, we have absolutely nothing to lose. UCLA is ranked No. 6 in the country, so this will be a great opportunity for me to go out there with no expectations and no pressure. Like always, everyone will leave it all on the court and fight for every single point.

After practice, we went back to the hotel to take quick showers so that we could make our 7:30 dinner reservations. We went to this delicious restaurant right on the water. We got back to the hotel at a very reasonable hour so that we were able to get our beauty sleep for the big match tomorrow. First ball will be hit by 12 p.m.! Well, it's about that time that I say good night! Adrienne and I are going to watch a little E News before we go to sleep! Stay tuned for more!!!! GO BOBCATS!!!!
