Hot play of late pushed Labarthe and Viebrock into top doubles action and the duo responded with an 8-0 thumping of Marcela Brandao and Jill Furlong. Labarthe then made quick work of Amy Unzicker, 6-0, 6-2, to win her 10th consecutive match, including five each at singles and doubles, dating back to Feb. 19. Viebrock extended a streak of her own with a 6-0, 6-0, blanking of Claire Griffin at No. 4 singles. She's now won six straight with three each in singles and doubles.
The Bobcats clinched the doubles point when Cantor and Cristescu earned an 8-1 victory at No. 3 over Melissa Kaufmann and Madison Zimmerman. Cantor went on to defeat Brandao, 6-0, 3-0, retired, at top singles, while Cristescu also blanked Kara Chicoine, 6-0, 6-0, at No. 6 singles.
