HANOVER,
N.H. - The Quinnipiac University women's tennis duo of Juliet
Labarthe (Oklahoma City, Okla.) and Sarah Viebrock (Carmel, N.Y.)
split a pair of doubles matches as the Bobcats completed play in
the ITA Northeast Regionals Saturday at Dartmouth College. Adrienne
Markison (Princeton, N.J.) also fell in a marathon 3 ½-hour
main draw first-round singles match to Army's Jamila Paul, 7-5, 6-7
(5), 6-1.
Women's Tennis Wraps Up Play At ITA Northeast Regionals
Labarthe and Viebrock defeated the St. John's duo of Diamond Adams and Jenny Yonkus, 8-5, in the first round before falling by the same score to Columbia's Nicole Bartnik and Bianca Sanon in the Round of 32.
Markison also paired with Rachel Cantor (Short Hills, N.J.), but the duo was defeated by the Rutgers duo of Jennifer Holzberg and Amy Zhang, 8-2.
Saturday's play concludes the fall portion of the Bobcats' schedule. Spring semester action commences Feb. 5, when the Bobcats travel to Boston University.
