Women's Tennis Breezes Past Providence, 7-0
Wilson paired with Markison on an 8-0 victory over Marisela Aviles-Duron and Ayushi Sinha at No. 1 doubles, before beating Aviles-Duron, 6-0, 6-4, at No. 1 singles. Markison completed her double win by staying undefeated in singles in the spring with a 6-1, 6-0, victory over Melanie Albert at No. 3 singles.
Cantor and Viebrock paired to defeat Albert and Jennifer Cusack, 8-0. Cantor then defeated Shinha, 6-2, 6-3, at No. 2 singles while Viebrock blanked Brittany Maddock, 6-0, 6-0, at No. 4 singles.
Duckor paired with Shawna Sarson (Albany, N.Y.) to defeat Maddock and Melissa Ferry, 8-1, at No. 3 doubles. She then beat Cusack, 6-1, 6-1, at No. 5 singles.
Lisanne Steinert (Glauchau, Germany) also scored a No. 6 singles victory over Ferry, 6-0, 6-2.
The Bobcats return to action Friday, March 19, when they face Yale. Matches from Cullman-Heyman Tennis Center in New Haven, Conn., are set to begin at 6 p.m.
