February 28, 2010 HANOVER, N.H. - The Quinnipiac University women's tennis team lost its first match of the season, 8-0, Sunday afternoon at Dartmouth. The loss drops the Bobcats to 4-1, while the Big Green improves to 9-1.

Playing an unorthodox format that featured doubles as one point, the top six singles flights as one point each, and three additional matches accounting for one more point, Dartmouth took all eight points, including all three doubles matches, and all nine singles matches.

Sarah Viebrock (Carmel, N.Y.) came closest to earning a victory for the Bobcats, falling in three sets, 6-2, 4-6, 10-1, at No. 5 singles.

The Bobcats return to action Saturday, when they travel to West Point, N.Y., to take on Army. Matches are set to begin at 9 a.m.
