WEST POINT, N.Y. The Quinnipiac University women's tennis team split a pair of matches Saturday, falling to Army, 6-1, before beating Marist, 7-0. Both matches were played at Army. With the split, the Bobcats move to 4-5 for the season. Natalie Duckor (Tustin, Calif.) led the Bobcats with a pair of singles wins at No. 3.
Duckor's win against Sarah Giles-Madden by a margin of 7-6, 6-2, accounted for the Bobcats lone point against Army. She then defeated Marist's Mirelva Colon, 6-0, 6-2, to complete an undefeated weekend in singles.
Mary Wilson (Greensburg, Pa.), Adrienne Markison (Princeton, N.J.), Kasey Rosenberger (Pittsford, N.Y.) and Nicole Adams (New Windsor, N.Y.) were all double winners against the Red Foxes, while Shawna Sarson (Albany, N.Y.) joined Duckor in earning a singles victory.
The Bobcats return to action Wednesday, when they travel to Baltimore, Md., to take on the University of Maryland-Baltimore County. Matches are slated to begin at 2 p.m.
