Duckor, Sarson Win Twice On Day 1 of Quinnipiac Invitational

HAMDEN, Conn. – Freshman Natalie Duckor (North Tustin, Calif.) paired with junior Shawna Sarson (Albany, N.Y.) to win twice in Quinnipiac Invitational Flight "B" doubles action, Friday at the Quinnipiac Outdoor Tennis Courts. The wins were the first of Duckor's career.

Nicole Adams (New Windsor, N.Y.), Adrienne Markison (Princeton, N.J.), Lisanne Steinert (Glauchau, Germany), Ali Warshavsky (East Hartford, Conn.) and Mary Wilson (Greensburg, Pa.) also each picked up a win in doubles play on the first day of the tournament.

With their wins, Duckor and Sarson move on to the semifinals of Flight "B" doubles, where they'll face Rhode Island's Amanda Barletta and Pam Emery. Four flights of singles play commence tomorrow.
