Every team encounters the unbearable lows and scintillating highs throughout a season. Both came within 15 minutes of each other for the Quinnipiac University women’s soccer team on Wednesday afternoon. After surrendering the equalizer with just 3.9 seconds remaining in regulation, Quinnipiac persevered through the late anguish and found the game-winning goal in double overtime to defeat Marist College, 2-1, from the QU Soccer Field in Hamden. Nicole Eriksen (Stamford, Conn.) was the game’s hero, heading home her first career goal in the victory.

Women’s Soccer Claims Eighth in MAAC Preseason Poll
The Quinnipiac University women's soccer team was selected to finish eighth in the 2013 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Preseason Coaches' Poll, announced by the league office on Wednesday, August 21, 2013. The Bobcats, who have advanced to postseason play in three of their last five seasons, will look to turn some heads in their first season in the MAAC.

Former Quinnipiac women’s soccer standout and Peamount United striker Sara Lawlor began a professional stint in Ireland after her time at Quinnipiac and has blossomed into one of the league’s finest attackers. Women’s Soccer Inducts Five Members to All- Time Team
HAMDEN, Conn.- The Quinnipiac University Women's Soccer program inducted five members into their All-Time Team on Saturday, April 20, at their annual men’s and women’s soccer banquet. In 2007, the Top 20 players were announced in conjunction with the 20th anniversary of the program. The five new additions of the team coincide with the 25th anniversary of the soccer program. The following five players were added to the All-Time Team for their contribution to the Quinnipiac Women’s soccer program: Alison Jaquith, Justine Lombardi, Kyla Miles, Meagan McLoughlin and Furtuna Velaj.

Taylor Healy Named Women’s Soccer Player of the Year
Senior Taylor Healy (Milford, Conn.) was named the Quinnipiac University Women’s Soccer Player of the Year at the Quinnipiac men’s and women’s soccer program’s annual banquet on Saturday, April 20. Senior Shauna Edwards (Southington, Conn.) received the Players’ Player of the year accolade. While freshman Nicole Eriksen (Stamford, Conn.) was honored as the Newcomer of the Year. Additionally Angela Ellison (Peabody, Mass.) was selected as the Academic Player of the Year and senior Jill Kelley (Simsbury, Conn.) earned Team Player of the Year for the second year in a row.

The Quinnipiac University women’s soccer team is once again working in conjunction with the Intramurals Department on campus and will host the fourth annual “Give Cancer the Boot” fundraiser event on Saturday, May 4, 2013. The event will feature a co-ed 4x4 soccer tournament on Mount Carmel Campus at the Quinnipiac Soccer Field - with all the action set to begin at 10 a.m. This year’s tournament will be held in honor of Christina Palmieri, a former Quinnipiac soccer player who was diagnosed with cancer.

Quinnipiac Soccer's #26 Uniforms Auction a Huge Success; Bobcats Raise Over $30,000 for Scholarship Fund
The Quinnipiac University soccer programs' world-wide fundraiser for the town of Newtown enjoyed remarkable success as the Bobcats surpassed the $30,000 mark when the auction closed on Sunday, April 14 at 10 p.m. The Bobcats began their auction for #26 jerseys on March 14, 2013, which saw jerseys donated by soccer teams from around the world, to raise money for a scholarship fund in memory of Rachel Marie D'Avino - the cousin of former Quinnipiac captain, Lauren Carmody-Grenier '02.

The Quinnipiac University women's soccer team lost to Saint Francis (Pa.), 2-1, in their final regular-season game at DeGol Field in Loretto, Pa. With the loss, the Bobcats conclude their 2012 season with an overall record of 9-6-2, including a 5-4-1 mark in conference competition. Graduate student Kyla Miles (Newtown, Conn.) was named the Quinnipiac University Women’s Soccer Player of the Year at the Quinnipiac men’s and women’s soccer program’s annual banquet on Friday, April 27. Miles also received the Players’ Player of the Year accolade, while freshman Jess Lavoie (Berlin, Conn.) was honored as the Young Player of the Year. Additionally, senior Chelsea Smith (Terryville, Conn.) was selected as the Academic Player of the Year and senior Jill Kelley (Simsbury, Conn.) earned Team Player of the Year.

The honor is the latest in the career of an individual many consider to be the greatest women's soccer player in program history. The all-time leading scorer, Witteman was inducted into the Quinnipiac Hall of Fame in 2009 and was also named to the Quinnipiac Women's Soccer 20th Anniversary Team. Witteman will be honored at one of Quinnipiac's home games this season.

HAMDEN, Conn. - The Quinnipiac University women's soccer team, in conjunction with the Quinnipiac Intramurals Department, raised over $500 at the Second Annual "Give Cancer the Boot!" fundraiser event on Sunday, May 1 at the Quinnipiac Soccer Field. The event featured a co-ed 4x4 soccer tournament where 14 teams participated. This year, proceeds were donated to TEAL, 'Tell Every Amazing Lady About Ovarian Cancer - The Louisa McGregor Ovarian Cancer Foundation.'

Quinnipiac Women's Soccer Signs Four To Class Of 2015
Quinnipiac University women's soccer head coach Dave Clarke has announced the signing of four student-athletes to National Letters of Intent. Angela Ellison (Peabody, Mass.), Jessica Lavoie (Berlin, Conn.), Caitlyn Shaw (North Haven, Conn.) and Kathryn Young (Fairfield, Conn.) will join the Bobcats for the 2011-12 season.

Zach Salsman '09 Filming U.S. Soccer Under-20 Team In Guatemala
Quinnipiac graduate Zach Salsman recently shot a documentary on U.S. Men's National Team soccer player Jay DeMerit. The documentary follows DeMerit's journey across the pond to the English Premier League. Salsman is currently working part time as a videographer for the U.S. Soccer Federation.
