Bobcats Suffer Tough Loss to UC Davis in Overtime, 1-0
Luck certainly has not been on the side of the Quinnipiac University women’s soccer team in the early going of the 2014 season. The Bobcats suffered a third straight 1-0 defeat on Sunday afternoon, as the Bobcats dropped a non-conference match to UC Davis in overtime at Aggies Soccer Field. The game was the third straight road match for Quinnipiac while concluding the team’s two-game road trip to California.

For the second straight week, the Quinnipiac University women’s soccer team suffered a heartbreaking loss, this time at the hands of a talented Pacific team with 2:45 seconds remaining. The lone goal held up and the Quinnipiac began its two-game California road trip with a 1-0 loss from Knoles Field in Stockton.

The Quinnipiac University women’s soccer team (0-0-0, 0-0-0 MAAC) opens its 2014 campaign on Friday, August 22, 2014 at the University of Maine (0-0-0, 0-0-0 AE). The first game of the season for both teams marks the third game in the all-time series, with all the action coming live at 4 p.m. from Alumni Field in Orono, Maine.

The Bobcats return 19 student-athletes from last year’s squad, each with the same goal in mind of winning the 2014 MAAC Championship.
