Women’s Soccer’s #26 Uniforms Auction Featured in Irish Examiner

"From the depths of despair, a global message of hope" by John Riordan (March 6, 2013)

DUBLIN, Ireland – Quinnipiac women's soccer junior Aine McKeever (Derry City, Ireland) and head coach Dave Clarke were recently featured in the Irish Examiner for their efforts in the #26 Uniforms Auction For Sandy Hook. The story, written by columnist John Riordan, highlights McKeever's journey from Ireland to the United States and the team's recent role in establishing a scholarship fund in memory of those killed in Newtown back in December.

The proceeds of the auction will be used to establish a scholarship fund in memory of the 20 students and six teachers who died at Sandy Hook and will be dedicated in honor of Rachel. The auction will go live in the second week of March and run for a month. Quinnipiac hopes to continue this tradition by auctioning #26 jerseys every Dec. 14.
