Bobcats Battle the Saints
The Quinnipiac University women's soccer team continues non-conference play on the road against the Siena Saints on Sunday, Sept. 16 at 1 p.m. at Siena Field in Loudonville, N.Y. This will be the Bobcats last non-conference matchup for the season before opening play to Farleigh Dickenson, Friday, Sept. 21, at home.
Scouting the Saints
The Saints are off to a 0-4 start in the 2012 season, suffering tough losses to Rhode Island, Rutgers, Delaware, and Binghamton. The Saints lost seven of their starters from last year and the young team continues to look for their first victory. In the Saint's last outing,
Series History With Siena
This match-up will mark Quinnipiac's fourth outing against the Saints. Siena holds an all-time record of 3-1 against the Bobcats. The last meeting Quinnipiac fell to the Saints 1-0 on Sept. 4, 2011.
Last Time Out
The Bobcats' unbeaten streak came to a close on Wednesday afternoon, as the Quinnipiac University women's soccer team was defeated by Harvard University, 3-0, at the QU Soccer Field on Mount Carmel Campus. With the loss, the Bobcats fall to 4-1-1 overall.
Rookie Knows Best
Freshman Shannon Larkin was named the Northeast Conference Co-Rookie of the Week for the week of Sept. 10. The honor is the forward's first of her career. In weekend play, Larkin was able to capitalize on a ball fed by Amanda Barroca for the game-winning goal. The tally was Larkin's first collegiate goal that led Quinnipiac to the 1-0 victory over Hartford.
Senior goalkeeper Jill Kelley was perfect through her first four games, posting a 0.25 goals-against average, and a .923 save percentage. She improved to 4-0 on the year with her third shutout against Hartford on Sept. 9.
Quinnipiac was nationally recognized by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) ranking ninth among Big East, America East and Patriot League components for their undefeated start of the season. This accomplishment adds to their best start in program history.

The Look Ahead for the Bobcats
The Bobcats head home to start conference play against Farleigh Dickenson on Friday, Sept. 21 at 2 p.m. Then Sunday, Sept. 23 against intrastate rivals Central Connecticut Blue Devils at 2 p.m.on the QU Soccer Field.
