Zach Salsman '09 Filming U.S. Soccer Under-20 Team In Guatemala

HAMDEN, Conn. - Quinnipiac graduate Zach Salsman recently shot a documentary on U.S. Men's National Team soccer player Jay DeMerit. The documentary follows DeMerit's journey across the pond to the English Premier League. Salsman is currently working part time as a videographer for the U.S. Soccer Federation.

Salsman was able to travel throughout the U.S., England and South Africa, to film the documentary, entitled 'Rise And Shine: The Jay DeMerit Story.'

Salsman is currently shooting in Guatemala at the CONCACAF U20MNT World Cup Qualifying Tournament, as a videographer for the U.S. Soccer Federation.

During Salsman's sophomore year, he began working for the Quinnipiac women's soccer team as the team videographer, and proceeded to do so until his graduation in 2009.

"Zach produced a lot of quality videos when he worked with my team and I knew he was destined to go on to better things," said Quinnipiac Head Coach Dave Clarke. "The fact that he is working with U.S. Soccer, our U20 national team and senior players, such as Jay DeMerit, is a testament to the quality of the Quinnipiac Communications and soccer programs. I look forward to following Zach's career and hope he gets to travel with the senior teams to future World Cups and Olympic Games," said Clarke.
