Women's Soccer Falls To Saint Francis (Pa.), 3-0
LORETTO, Pa. - The Quinnipiac University women's soccer team lost,
3-0, to Saint Francis (Pa.) on Friday afternoon in a Northeast
Conference game held at the DeGol Field in Loretto, Pa. With the
loss, the Bobcats fall to 2-2-2 in the NEC and 4-6-2 overall, while
the Red Flash improve to 3-2-0 in the conference and 9-4-1 on the
season.
"The back four played well, said Quinnipiac Head Coach Dave
Clarke. "So, it's disappointing. We should have came back, but
we never gave ourselves that chance.
In the first half of the game, Robert Morris scored its first goal
in the 26
th minute by Tesa McKibben for her tenth goal
of the season. The goal was assisted by Haleigh Dunyon.
Robert Morris went on to score their next goal in the
51
st minute of play. The goal was scored by Quinnipiac
in its own net and was assisted by McKibben. The last goal was
scored by McKibben for her second goal of the game and was assisted
by Ba Maros de Carvalho.
Overall, the Bobcats took 12 shots, while Saint Francis took 13.
Junior Jillian
Kelley (Simsbury, Conn.) made five saves on the game, while
Lauren Fearer made nine saves for the Red Flash.
The Bobcats travel to Robert Morris for a conference match-up on
Sunday, Oct. 17. The game will be held at the North Athletic
Complex in Moon Township, Pa. at 1:00 p.m.
