Postgame Interviews With Kelley, McKeever and Velaj Following Women's Soccer's Exhibition Game Against UMass
The
Quinnipiac women's soccer team's exhibition game against the
University of Massachusetts on Sunday, Aug. 22 at the Quinnipiac
Soccer Field ended with a scoreless tie. Both teams had several
opportunities to score, but solid play in net by Quinnipiac Jillian
Kelley and UMass' Emily Cota kept either team from getting on the
board.
Following
the game, Kelley commented on her return to the Bobcats' lineup
after missing all of last season to injury she sustained during
preseason workouts. Two-time NEC leading scorer and First-teamer
Furtuna Velaj (Stamford, Conn.) also commented on the Bobcats first
action of the 2010 season while first-year Bobcat Aine McKeever
(Derry City, Ireland) commented on her first college soccer
experience.
