HAMDEN, Conn. - Quinnipiac University Women's Soccer Head Coach Dave Clarke recently contributed to the Belvedere Football Club's 40th Anniversary Magazine. In his entry, Clarke discusses Belvo's influence on his development as a player and coach. Located in Dublin, Ireland, the Belvedere Football Club is regarded as the most successful youth club in Ireland.

Former Women's Soccer Stand-out Kim Witteman '95 Inducted Into Northeast-10 Conference Hall of Fame
Former Quinnipiac women's soccer stand-out Kim Witteman (Doheny) '95 has been announced as an inductee in the Northeast-10 Conference Hall of Fame 2011 class. The honor is the latest in the career of an individual many consider to be the greatest women's soccer player in program history. The all-time leading scorer, Witteman was inducted into the Quinnipiac Hall of Fame in 2009 and was also named to the Quinnipiac Women's Soccer 20th Anniversary Team. Witteman will be honored at one of Quinnipiac's home games this season.

Meagan McLoughlin Named Women's Soccer Player Of The Year At Annual Banquet
Senior Meagan McLoughlin (Rocky Hill, Conn.) was named the Quinnipiac University Women's Soccer Player of the Year at the Quinnipiac men's and women's soccer annual banquet held on Friday, April 29. Senior defender Kyla Miles (Newtown, Conn.) was named Players' Player of the Year, while Beck Kiting (Canberra, Australia) received the Young Player of the Year title. In addition, senior forward Lauren Peacock (Hopedale, Mass.) was selected as the team's Academic Player of the Year.

Women's Soccer and Intramurals Raise Over $500 In "Give Cancer The Boot!" Fundraiser
HAMDEN, Conn. - The Quinnipiac University women's soccer team, in conjunction with the Quinnipiac Intramurals Department, raised over $500 at the Second Annual "Give Cancer the Boot!" fundraiser event on Sunday, May 1 at the Quinnipiac Soccer Field. The event featured a co-ed 4x4 soccer tournament where 14 teams participated. This year, proceeds were donated to TEAL, 'Tell Every Amazing Lady About Ovarian Cancer - The Louisa McGregor Ovarian Cancer Foundation.'

Quinnipiac Women's Soccer Signs Four To Class Of 2015
Quinnipiac University women's soccer head coach Dave Clarke has announced the signing of four student-athletes to National Letters of Intent. Angela Ellison (Peabody, Mass.), Jessica Lavoie (Berlin, Conn.), Caitlyn Shaw (North Haven, Conn.) and Kathryn Young (Fairfield, Conn.) will join the Bobcats for the 2011-12 season.

Quinnipiac graduate Zach Salsman recently shot a documentary on U.S. Men's National Team soccer player Jay DeMerit. The documentary follows DeMerit's journey across the pond to the English Premier League. Salsman is currently working part time as a videographer for the U.S. Soccer Federation.

Quinnipiac University junior women's soccer player Furtuna Velaj (Stamford, Conn.) has been named the adidas/Northeast Conference Co-Player of the Week after registering a hat trick in the Bobcats' 3-1 victory against perennial regional power Dartmouth on Friday. The hat trick was the fourth of Velaj's career, while the NEC honor is also the fourth of her career.
