"I have a strong affinity for Central so this is a great honor to be recognized by them," said Clarke. "It will be great for my kids and my players to see a glimpse of my career back then and I look forward to returning for the event."
A 1992 graduate of Central Connecticut, Clarke earned a B.S. in Physical Education while playing all four years for the Blue Devils. Clarke earned several accolades during his career as he was named Player of the Year in his senior season as well as Academic Player of the Year as a junior and senior. Clarke also served as team captain in his junior and senior season on top of earning the CCSU Scholar-Athlete Award in 1989, 1990, and 1991. After graduating, he served as an assistant coach for the men's team for two seasons.
"Playing at Central and working with all the great coaches in the PE program helped me become the coach and teacher I am today," said Clarke. "I would not have accomplished all I have done in the game without my time at CCSU."
