The Blue
Devils have compiled a 2-5-1 record this season, earning their last
win on Sept. 4 at Buffalo. In their last outing, the team fell at
Columbia, 3-2, on Sept. 22. The Blue Devils are led by senior
midfielder Leah Blayney, who has tallied four goals and four
assists this season. Blayney ranks first in the NEC in points (12),
just one point ahead of Quinnipiac forward Furtuna Velaj (Stamford,
Conn.). Senior goalkeeper Caity Casey has appeared in all eight
games in goal for CCSU, recording a .612 save
percentage.
All-Time
Against CCSU
The
Bobcats are 4-7 all-time against the Blue Devils, holding a 2-3
records in both home and away matches. The two teams most recently
met last season on Nov. 2, where Quinnipiac fell, 1-0. In that
game, goalkeeper Jillian Kelley (Simsbury, Conn.) brought down six
saves and Velaj took four shots on goal.

Quinnipiac
will open Northeast Conference play in its game at CCSU tomorrow.
The contest is the first of nine NEC games coming up for the
Bobcats. Their next conference game is Oct. 4 when they host Bryant
at the Quinnipiac Soccer Field.
Strange
September
The
Bobcats played six of their seven September games on the road this
season, playing their lone home game of the month on Sept. 13
against Lehigh. The team looks forward to four home games in
October and one in November, which will serve as Senior
Day.

On Deck
Goalkeeper
Kendra Margulies (Weston, Mass.) pulled down five saves in the
Bobcats last outing at Yale on Sept. 22. The junior continues to
rank second in the NEC in saves per game with 6.17, making 37 saves
this season in net.
Head to
Head
The top
two offensive leaders in the NEC will face off in the game tomorrow
at Central Connecticut Field. CCSU's Blayney, and Quinnipiac's
Velaj rank in the top two spots in all the conferences' offensive
categories. Blayney holds the top spot in points, while Velaj holds
the edge in points per game and goals.

A few of
the Bobcats will be seeing some familiar faces out on the pitch in
tomorrow's game. Senior Amber Sidoti (Farmington, Conn.) and
freshmen Jillian Strassner (Avon, Conn.) and Shauna Edwards
(Southington, Conn.) will all face former teammates from their high
school squads at CCSU.
