HAMDEN, Conn. - The Quinnipiac University women's soccer team was defeated by Bryant Wednesday afternoon, 1-0. The Bulldog's Brooke Duchaney scored the game's lone goal with 32 seconds remaining in the game. The loss drops the Bobcats to 7-6-2 overall this season, while the win improves Bryant's record to 5-9-3.
Duchaney's third goal of the season came in the 90th minute to give the Bulldogs the victory. Steph Del Mistro carried the ball down the right side of the field and passed into the six-yard box into a group of players. Duchaney headed the ball over Quinnipiac goalkeeper Jillian Kelley (Simsbury, Conn.) and into the net.
Kelley stopped four shots in the game, while Bryant's Jessica Clark and Jessica Neales combined to stop seven Quinnipiac shots on goal. Amber Sidoti (Farmington, Conn.) led all players in the game with three shots on goal.
The Bobcats return to action on Sunday, Nov. 2, as they host Central Connecticut State at 1 p.m. at the Quinnipiac Soccer Field.
