QU Women's Rugby's Natalie Kosko Named To USA Rugby All-American Team

Quinnipiac women's rugby stand-out Natalie Kosko (Sebastian, Fla.) has been named to the USA Rugby AIG Women's Collegiate All-American team for the upcoming tour of Canada.

"We are always proud when our Bobcats are recognized on the international stage and Natalie's selection comes as no surprise," head coach Becky Carlson said. "We are 100% confident that she will represent and positively impact the United States team as and All American athlete just as she does as a student-athlete for Quinnipiac Women's Rugby."

Kosko was one of 25 players named to the all-american team that included representatives from 22 different colleges and universities from across the country. The WCAA team was chosen from 100 players invited to the national combine. The team will play its first international competition against Team Ontario on July 18 and 20 in Toronto.

The Bobcats' wing finished her sophomore campaign as the Northeast Conference's leading scorer with 165 points (33 Tries) for the Bobcats during the 2013-14 season. Kosko currently leads the program in career points with 280 in her two seasons under head coach Becky Carlson.

Kosko previously played for the United States U20 Team at the 2013 Nation's Cup in England. She was also named as one of the nation's "Five To Watch" U20 student-athletes in 2013. Kosko also traveled with the USA Rugby team to Las Vegas, NV from Jan. 23-25 where she participated in the Sevens International Event at the Sam Boyd Stadium in Las Vegas, NV.
