QU Women's Lacrosse Announces 2014 Program Awards
The Quinnipiac University women's lacrosse team announced its 2014 team awards in a ceremony on May 2. Awards for outstanding attack and defensive player were handed out along with honors for most improved player and the Becca Main Ultimate Bobcat Award. The team’s Most Valuable Player was recognized at the Quinnipiac University Athletics and Recreation Awards event on May 4 at the TB Bank Sports Center.

Women's Lacrosse Falls To Niagara In Season Finale, 15-11
The Quinnipiac women’s lacrosse team finished the season with a 15-11 loss to the Niagara Purple Eagles on Sunday afternoon. The loss drops the Bobcats to 2-6 in their first year in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference while the win improves Niagara to 3-5 in conference play.

Women's Lacrosse Wraps Up Season At Niagara On Sunday, April 27th at 12 PM
The Quinnipiac University women's lacrosse team will wrap up the 2014 season when they travel to Lewiston, NY on Sunday, April 27th to take on Niagara. Quinnipiac will be looking for their third conference win of the year while the Purple Eagles will be looking for their third conference win of the season on Senior Day.

Women's Lacrosse Raises $9,227 For Friends Of Jaclyn Foundation
Over the last few weeks the women’s lacrosse program has raised money for the Friends Of Jaclyn Foundation. Starting from March 27 the program set a goal to raise $5,000 for the foundation. To date the team has nearly doubled their goal by raising $9,227.

Eight Bobcats Register Points But Women's Lacrosse Falls To Siena,15-11
Quinnipiac outscored Siena 9-5 in the second half and had seven different goal scorers, but it was not enough as the Bobcats fell to the Saints 15-11 in Loudonville. With the loss, Quinnipiac drops to 2-5 in MAAC play while Siena improves to 2-4 in conference play.

The Quinnipiac University women’s lacrosse team will travel to Loudonville, NY on Saturday, April 19th. Quinnipiac will be looking for their third conference win of the year while the Saints will be looking for their second conference win of the season on Senior Day.

The Quinnipiac women’s lacrosse team suffered an 18-7 setback to their in-state conference rival the Fairfield Stags at Lessing Field in Fairfield, Conn. The loss drops Quinnipiac to 2-4 in conference play while Fairfield improves to 5-0 in MAAC play.

Women's Lacrosse Travels To In-State Rival Fairfield On Wednesday, April 16th At 3 PM
The Quinnipiac University women’s lacrosse team will travel to in-state rival Fairfield on Wednesday, April 16th. Quinnipiac will be looking for their third conference win of the year and find themselves still in contention for the final playoff spot. Fairfield is currently tied for the top spot in the MAAC with a perfect conference record. The Stags are currently riding a five game winning streak.

Women's Lacrosse Falls To Marist In Overtime Thriller, 15-13
The Quinnipiac women's lacrosse team made the final game at the Quinnipiac Lacrosse Field this season exciting as they battled the No. 1 team in the MAAC, the Marist Red Foxes, in an overtime classic. Marist would get the upper hand as they outscored Quinnipiac in two overtime periods 3-1 and captured their seventh straight victory, 15-13. Marist moves 9-2 overall and 4-0 in conference play while the Bobcats fall to 2-3 in conference play.

Beyond The Field: Quinnipiac Women's Lacrosse Senior Allison Boudreau
Allison Boudreau, a member of Quinnipiac’s women’s lacrosse team, took nine days out of her schedule in February to help those in need. The senior nursing major from Canton, Mass., was able to complete this journey through an organization known as “Missions of Miracles”, a volunteer organization that specifically works to help the people of El Salvador.

Women's Lacrosse Hosts Marist For Senior Day On Sunday, April 13th at 12 PM
The Quinnipiac University women's lacrosse team will have their final home game of the season on Sunday, April 13th when they host the Marist Red Foxes. Quinnipiac will be looking for their third conference win of the year and find themselves only one game out of a playoff spot. Prior to the game the Quinnipiac Department of Athletics and Recreation will honor Allison Boudreau, Kayla Fu, Phoebe Laplante, Kelsey Maroney, Emily Samuelman, Kearney Sneath, and Michaela Tinsley for Senior Day.

Women's Lacrosse Visits Conte West Hills Magnet School In New Haven
Several members of the Quinnipiac Women's Lacrosse team visited Conte West Hills Magnet School in New Haven this past Thursday, April 10, to teach fourth graders about the sport of lacrosse. The students are studying local Native American tribes and have learned that the sport of lacrosse was originally played by many tribes throughout the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic region.

Carey, Ochwat, Sneath Tally Hat Tricks In Women's Lacrosse's 15-9 Win Over Iona
The Quinnipiac women’s lacrosse team scored 10 unanswered goals to pace the Bobcats to a 15-9 victory over Iona at the Quinnipiac Lacrosse Field on Wednesday afternoon. Six different players scored for the Bobcats as the offense matched their season high of 15 goals. Quinnipiac moves to 2-2 in MAAC play while Iona falls to 0-4 in conference play.

The Quinnipiac University women's lacrosse team will have their second of three straight home games when they host the Iona Gaels on Wednesday, April 9th. Quinnipiac will be looking for their second conference win while Iona will be looking for their first conference win of the season.

Women's Lacrosse Defeated By Canisius in MAAC Clash, 23-15
Despite filling the box score with a season-high of 15 goals on Sunday afternoon, the Quinnipiac University women's lacrosse team fell short to Canisius, 23-15, in MAAC action at the QU Lacrosse Turf Field. The Bobcats featured 10 different players in the scoring column, five of which who scored twice, in the team's second conference loss of the season.

Women's Lacrosse Hosts Canisius For Friends Of Jaclyn Day On Sunday, April 6th at 12 PM
The Quinnipiac University women’s lacrosse team will host the three time defending MAAC Champion Canisius Golden Griffins on Sunday. Both teams are 1-1 in conference play and will be fighting for positioning as MAAC play begins to heat up. The game will be the Bobcats Friends Of Jaclyn Day game in support of those diagnosed with pediatric brain tumors.

Women's Lacrosse's Comeback Bid Falls Short To Monmouth, 10-9
The Quinnipiac women's lacrosse team scored six straight second half goals to tie the game against Monmouth with just under eight minutes remaining, but a Hawks goal with just over six minutes remaining was the difference on Wednesday afternoon in West Long Branch. With the win Monmouth moves to 2-0 in MAAC play while the Bobcats fall to 1-1 in conference play.

The Quinnipiac University women’s lacrosse team will have their second conference game as a member of the MAAC against a familiar foe when they travel to face the Monmouth Hawks on Wednesday, Apr. 2. Quinnipiac has won four of their last five games against Monmouth.

Devin Kelly's Goal With Two Minutes Remaining Pushes Women's Lacrosse Past Manhattan, 12-11
Freshman Devin Kelly (Miller Place, N.Y.) scored the game winning goal with two minutes remaining to propel the Quinnipiac women’s lacrosse team to its first victory of the season and their first win as a member of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference. The Bobcats overcame a 10-6 second half deficit and scored two goals in the last five minutes as they defeated the Manhattan Jaspers, 12-11, at the Quinnipiac Lacrosse Field in Hamden. With the victory Quinnipiac moves to 1-0 in conference play while Manhattan falls to 0-1 in the MAAC and 2-7 overall.

Women's Lacrosse Opens MAAC Play Against Manhattan On Saturday, March 29 At 1 PM
The Quinnipiac University women’s lacrosse team will have their inaugural conference game as a member of the MAAC when they face the Manhattan Jaspers on Saturday, Mar. 29. After MAAC play ends the top four teams in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference will battle in the MAAC Tournament at Canisius College on May 2nd and May 4th.

Women's Lacrosse Completes Six-Goal Comeback But Falls To Binghamton In Final Seconds, 9-8
The Quinnipiac women's lacrosse team scored seven straight goals to take an 8-7 lead over Binghamton with two minutes remaining in the game, but fell 9-8 after Binghamton's Brianne Arthur scored her 28th and 29th goals of the season. Arthur scored off a free position with six seconds remaining to give the Bearcats a program best sixth win of the season. Quinnipiac wraps up non-conference play and will return home to face Manhattan on Saturday at 1 pm.

DeVito Scores Two Goals In Women's Lacrosse's Loss To Bryant
Five different Bobcats registered points on Thursday afternoon, but the Quinnipiac University women's lacrosse team was defeated by former conference rival Bryant, 18-5, at the Quinnipiac Lacrosse Field in Hamden. Sophomore Kathleen DeVito (Glastonbury, Conn.) scored a career high two goals for Quinnipiac.

The Quinnipiac University women's lacrosse team will have their third game of three straight home games on Thursday, March 20th when they host former conference foe Bryant University. After their game against Bryant the Bobcats will hit the road again to take on Binghamton on March 23 for their final non-conference game.

Quinnipiac senior women's ice hockey forward Kelly Babstock (Mississauga, Ontario) will join the Quinnipiac women's lacrosse team for the remainder of the 2014 season. Babstock will join the women's lacrosse team after finishing her illustrious career in an ice hockey uniform.

The Quinnipiac University women's lacrosse team will have their second of three straight home games on Wednesday, March 12th against Vermont. The last time these two teams faced was on March 9, 2013. The Bobcats were powered by eight second half goals and scored the game winning goal with two seconds to go in the game.

The Quinnipiac University Women's Lacrosse team visited the kindergarten classes at Helen Street School on Tuesday to complete a Dr. Seuss themed reading and craft project. Former Bobcat Lexi DeStefano '11 teaches at Helen Street and worked with the team to coordinate the visit.

Junior Kyra Ochwat (Farmingdale, N.Y.) scored her first two goals of the season but they were not enough as the Quinnipiac University women's lacrosse team was defeated by America East power, Albany, in the Great Danes' home opener, 16-2.

Five Bobcats registered points on Saturday afternoon, but the Quinnipiac University women's lacrosse team was defeated by in-state rival UConn, 17-7, in its season-opener at George J Sherman Family Sports Complex in Storrs. Sophomore Aileen Carey (Long Beach, N.Y.) tallied a career high four points and scored her first career hat trick for Quinnipiac.

The Quinnipiac University women's lacrosse team will open their 2014 season in Storrs, Conn. against in-state rival UConn on Saturday, Feb. 22. The Bobcats went 7-9 last season and 5-4 in their final season in the NEC as they finished fifth in the conference.

The Quinnipiac University women's lacrosse team was selected to finish seventh in the preseason poll of the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference, head coaches released on Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2014. Junior attack Kyra Ochwat (Farmingdale, N.Y.) was chosen to represent Quinnipiac on the All-MAAC Preseason Team as well.

Women's Lacrosse Teams With Friends of Jaclyn Foundation To "Adopt" Catherine Rose
HAMDEN, Conn – The Quinnipiac Women's Lacrosse team held an "adoption ceremony" on Tuesday to welcome Catherine (Cat) Rose to the program. Cat has a Grade 4 Glioblastoma, an extremely rare brain tumor, and connected with the Bobcat family through the Friends of Jaclyn Foundation (FoJ). FoJ was founded in 2005 by Denis and Lynda Murphy to improve the quality of life for children with pediatric brain tumors and their families by pairing them with college and high school athletic teams after their daughter Jaclyn was diagnosed with a malignant brain tumor.

Hamden, Conn– The Quinnipiac University Women's Lacrosse team visited third graders at Helen Street School on Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2013 and joined in their haiku poem projects. Former Bobcat Laura Iannotti '11 teaches third graders at Helen Street and worked with the coaching staff to coordinate the event.
