Quinnipiac Women's Lacrosse Hosts Youth Clinic

HAMDEN, Conn. - The Quinnipiac women's lacrosse team hosted a post-game clinic on Sunday, Mar. 27 as part of its Positive Play program for the North Haven Girl's Lacrosse bantam, junior and senior teams. The free clinic, which attracted about 80 youths, was taught by Bobcats players who assisted in the demonstration of certain skill sets and situational game-type scenarios.

"We had a great time hosting the clinic for North Haven Youth Lacrosse," head coach Danie Caro said. "It's a good experience for my players to get to coach younger athletes, and it really makes them appreciate how valuable their experience can be when they share it with others."

The Bobcats had plenty of wisdom to share to the youth players, following a weekend sweep of Northeast Conference opponents Saint Francis (Pa.) and Robert Morris.

Senior captain Kaitlyn Kelly added "I enjoy coaching youth players. It's fun to interact with them because they are so eager to learn about the sport."

Quinnipiac returns to the field on Friday, Apr. 1 when its hosts Sacred Heart at 3 p.m. at Quinnipiac Field Hockey & Lacrosse Turf Field.
