      <title>Hannah Nelson Finishes 2009 As National Statistical Champion With Top Save Percentage</title>

      <description>Quinnipiac University women's lacrosse goalkeeper Hannah Nelson (Glastonbury, Conn.) concluded the 2009 season as the National Statistical Champion for save percentage. Nelson's mark of .547 was the best in the nation as she allowed 86 goals, while turning aside 104 shots on the season. Nelson also posted an 8-3 record during her senior season, helping the Bobcats finish the year with the fifth-best winning percentage in the country (.813.) and a program best record of 13-3.</description>

      <description>Ashley Valentine (Friendship, Md.) of the Quinnipiac University women's lacrosse team was named a participant in the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association/Under-Armour North-South Senior All-Star Game for Division I. The game will be played in Downingtown, Pa., on Saturday, June 13 and will feature 43 players from across Division I split into Northern and Southern teams. Valentine is the first Quinnipiac player ever to be selected to participate in the game. Players must have completed their final year of eligibility to play in the game.</description>

The top-seeded and tournament-host Pioneers took out No. 4 Monmouth, 13-7, earlier in the day's first semifinal matchup. Quinnipiac and Sacred Heart finished the season Co-Regular Season Champions after posting identical 7-1 league records with the Pioneers owning the tie-breaker. The Bobcats pushed their winning streak to nine games and their record to 13-2.</description>

      <description>A live videostream and play-by-play by WQAQ will be available when the Quinnipiac University women's lacrosse team begins play in its sixth consecutive Northeast Conference Tournament on Friday at 2:30 p.m., at Sacred Heart's Campus Field in Fairfield, Conn. The Bobcats square off against Mount St. Mary's in the semifinals for the second year in a row. Last season, Quinnipiac won its first ever postseason game, 12-11, against the Mount in Hamden. Quinnipiac and Sacred Heart each claimed a share of the 2009 NEC Regular-Season Championship after both teams posted 7-1 conference records. The Mount had an opportunity to also claim a share of the regular-season title, but a loss on the final day of the season gave the Bobcats and the Pioneers the crown.</description>
