Quinnipiac Women's Ice Hockey Announces 2014-15 Schedule

HAMDEN, Conn. – Quinnipiac University women's ice hockey head coach Rick Seeley has announced the Bobcats 2014-15 schedule. Quinnipiac's schedule for the upcoming season will consist of 14 regular-season home games and two preseason matchups.

Bobcat fans can catch their first glimpse of this year's squad on Saturday, Sept. 20 when Quinnipiac hosts the Chinese National Team at 2 p.m. at High Point Solutions Arena at the TD Bank Sports Center. Team China's practices at High Point Solutions Arena from Aug. 29 through Sept. 19 will be open to the public. Following Quinnipiac's exhibition match-up against China's national team, the Bobcats will host its annual Blue/Gold Scrimmage on Saturday, Sept. 27 at 2 p.m. Quinnipiac opens the regular season against in-state foe UConn on Friday, Oct. 3 at 7 p.m.

After a trip to State College, Pennsylvania on Oct. 11-12 to play Penn State in a two-game, non-conference series, the Bobcats return home on Oct. 17-18 to host Maine, with Friday's game scheduled for a 3 p.m. puck drop and a 2 p.m. start for Saturday's match-up. The Bobcats then head North to Durham, New Hampshire to play the University of New Hampshire on Friday, Oct. 24 before its first ECAC Hockey weekend of the season at Colgate on Friday, Oct. 31 and Cornell on Saturday, Nov. 1.

After a bye weekend, Quinnipiac will host Rensselaer on Friday, Nov. 14 and Union on Saturday, Nov. 15 for its first ECAC Hockey home dates of the season. On Nov. 21, Quinnipiac will host 2014 NCAA National Champion Clarkson at 7 p.m. Clarkson won its first National Championship last season when it defeated Minnesota, 5-4, at High Point Solutions Arena in front of the largest crowd for a women's ice hockey national championship in NCAA history. On Nov. 22, Quinnipiac will host St. Lawrence at 3 p.m.

Quinnipiac's ECAC Hockey weekend against Clarkson and St. Lawrence will be its last home dates of the calendar year, as the Bobcats travel to Princeton on Tuesday, Nov. 25 leading up to the 2014 Nutmeg Classic on Nov. 28-29. The Bobcats will face Yale in a non-conference game on Friday, Nov. 28, while the other match-up will feature UConn and Clarkson.

Quinnipiac will wrap-up the first half of the season on Dec. 5 at Dartmouth and Dec. 6 at Harvard before it breaks for the Holidays. Quinnipiac's schedule resumes on Friday, Jan. 2 at Union in Schenectady, New York and at Rensselaer in Troy, New York on Saturday, Jan. 3. On Tuesday, Jan. 6, the Bobcats host Princeton at 7 p.m. followed by a weekend series on Jan. 9-10 against Brown and Yale, respectively.

On Jan. 16-17, the Bobcats travel to Moon Township, Pennsylvania to take on Robert Morris in a two-game series, before traveling to Massachusetts for a pair of games against 2014 NCAA Tournament participants Boston College on Wednesday, Jan. 21 and Boston University on Saturday, Jan. 24.

Quinnipiac will wrap-up its home, regular-season schedule on the following two weekends when it faces Harvard on Friday, Jan. 30 and Dartmouth on Saturday, Jan. 31. They also host Cornell on Friday, Feb. 6 and Colgate on Saturday, Feb. 7. The Bobcats then travel to St. Lawrence and Clarkson on Feb. 13-14, followed by trips to Yale on Friday, Feb. 20 and Brown on Saturday, Feb. 21. ECAC Hockey tournament play is set for the following weekend.
