Women's Ice Hockey Head Coach Rick Seeley and Senior Captain Amanda Colin to Appear on WQUN AM 1220 on Thursday, March 6 at 8:45 AM

HAMDEN, Conn. – Quinnipiac women's ice hockey's head coach Rick Seeley and senior captain Amanda Colin (Burnsville, Minn.) were recently interviewed by AM 1220 WQUN's Ray Andrewsen following their ECAC Hockey Quarterfinal series victory over St. Lawrence. The interview will air on Thursday, March 6 at 8:45 am and discusses the Bobcats' playoff victory as well as preparing for the upcoming 2014 Women's Frozen Four hosted by Quinnipiac University. Seeley has led the Bobcats to new heights this season as his squad has tied the program record for single-season victories (22) and is guaranteed to finish with the best record in a single-season in the program's history. Quinnipiac is 22-5-9 overall and wrapped up ECAC Hockey play with the No. 4 seed and an 11-4-7 mark in league competition. The Bobcats are currently ranked No. 7 in both national polls and have spent the last 19 weeks as a ranked team with their highest ranking this season being No. 5. He helped guide the Bobcats to their third ECAC Hockey Quarterfinal series victory in program history as they will vie for their first ever trip to the Championship this Saturday at Clarkson.

Colin has enjoyed a breakout season as she has established new career highs in points (21), goals (8), assists (13), plus/minus (+20) and game-winning goals (3). Her leadership is proven both on and off the ice as she became the first player in Quinnipiac hockey history to ever receive a nomination for the illustrious Hockey Humanitarian Award. Colin has never missed a game in her four-year career (146 career games played) and will at least tie the program record for games played in a career. She has notched 57 points (25 goals, 32 assists) in those 146 games and is an omnipresent leader in the classroom sporting a 3.79 GPA while double majoring in Accounting and Computer Information Services.

Quinnipiac takes on No. 3 Clarkson this weekend in the ECAC Hockey Semifinals with first puck drop scheduled for 1:00 pm.
