HAMDEN, Conn. – The Quinnipiac women's ice hockey team has announced junior goaltender Chelsea Laden (Lakeville, Minn.) will participate in the team's monthly #BobcatChat hosted online via Twitter. Laden will be available at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday night to answer any questions from fans who tweet using the hashtag #BobcatChat. Questions and answers will be featured on the High Point Solutions Arena's newly installed, high-definition scoreboards during every women's ice hockey home game this season.
The first "Bobcat chat" held on Sept. 9 with senior captain Amanda Colin (Burnsville, Minn.) signaled the start of a monthly tradition in which a member of the Quinnipiac women's ice hockey team will answer questions from the Bobcat fan base.
Those who have questions or comments for the team can follow and tweet to @QU_WomensIceHky with the hashtag: #BobcatChat. The ticket representatives for the TD Bank Sports Center will gather questions and answers that will be featured on the scoreboard during every home game through the 2013-14 women's ice hockey season. Each Twitter account that asks a question will also be entered into a raffle for free tickets to Bobcat home games this season.
Laden currently leads the nation in goals against average (0.49), save percentage (.977) and shutouts (2) after she continued her impressive string of games this weekend against Penn State. The junior netminder (3-0-1 this season) has allowed only two goals through four games this season and is off to the second-best start for any goalie in Quinnipiac history after Victoria Vigilanti's start to the 2010-11 season.
