Quinnipiac Women's Ice Hockey Highlighted On USCHO.com
HAMDEN, Conn. – The Quinnipiac women's ice hockey team has been highlighted in this week's USCHO.com playoff feature article, as posted on the organization's website on Thursday, March 1. The article, written by Arlan Marttila, draws attention to Quinnipiac and three other teams (St. Lawrence, Boston University, and Providence) as squads that must win their respective conference tournaments in order to earn a bid to the NCAA National Tournament.
Quinnipiac, which finished the regular season in sixth place in ECAC Hockey with a 12-8-2 league record, visits No. 1-seeded Cornell on Friday, March 2 in the Semifinals of the ECAC Hockey Tournament. The visit to Cornell marks the program's second-consecutive trip to both the Semifinals and the Big Red's Lynah Rink. The two squads will hit the ice tomorrow at 3:30, followed by the second Semifinals game, No. 2 Harvard versus No. 5 St. Lawrence, scheduled for a 7 p.m. start.
