About Boston College
The Eagles are coming off a 5-0 victory over New Hampshire on Saturday, Oct. 15. Junior Blake Bolden and sophomore Taylor Wasylk each collected a goal and two assists in the contest, while freshman Alex Carpenter sophomore Jackie Young and senior Danielle Welch all netted a goal for the Eagles in the victory. Junior goaltender Corinne Boyles made 16 saves to earn her first shutout of the season. Overall, Carpenter leads the squad with six points (three goals, three assists) on the year, while Bolden (two goals, two assists) and Wasylk (one goal, three assists) each have four points on the season. Boyles has accumulated a .907 save percentage to go along with a 2.45 goals against average on the year thus far. 

All-Time Against The Eagles
Friday's contest against Boston College will be the 19th time the two sides face each other. In recent history, the teams have been evenly matched, as is evident by the last two contests which ended in overtime draws. In their last meeting on October 22, 2010, Quinnipiac and No. 7 Boston College played to a 3-3 tie. Junior Kate Wheeler (Oakville, Ontario) scored two goals, including the game-tying goal late in the third period, and freshman forward Kelly Babstock (Mississauga, Ontario) added three assists to lead Quinnipiac. Sophomore goaltender Victoria Vigilanti (Woodbridge, Ontario) made 25 saves in net. 

Last Time Out
Quinnipiac was defeated by Northeastern, 3-1, on Saturday, Oct. 15. Sophomore Kelly Babstock netted her second goal of the season in the second period of play, off an assist from freshman Nicole Kosta (Mississauga, Ontario). The Huskies would score two goals in the final two minutes of the stanza to take a 2-1 lead into the third period. Northeastern netted its third and final goal of the game just six minutes into the third period. 

Laden Makes Her Debut
Freshman goaltender Chelsea Laden (Lakeville, Minn.) made her first collegiate start in net on Friday against Northeastern, turning away 32 shots in 46 minutes of play. The highly touted freshman was runner-up in the state of Minnesota for Defensive Player of the Year in 2010-11 and held a .926 save percentage and a .163 goals against average during her senior season. 

Fresh On The Scene
Freshman Nicole Kosta has collected at least one point in each of the team's last three games. She currently leads all freshmen on the team with four points on the season (one goal, three assists). She currently ranks 15th among all NCAA Division I Women's Ice Hockey rookie skaters with a .80 points per game.

Season's Firsts
On Saturday, Oct. 8 against Maine, freshman Breann Frykas (East St. Paul, Manitoba), junior Regan Boulton (Brandon, Manitoba), and senior Melissa Perry (Chelsea, Mich.) each collected their respective first assists of the season.

Looking Ahead
Following Friday's game against Boston College, the Bobcats finish the month of October on the road against Rensselaer on Friday, Oct. 28 at 3 p.m., followed by a 3 p.m. contest against Union on Saturday, Oct. 29.
