Women's Ice Hockey Featured In The New Haven Register

HAMDEN, Conn. - The Quinnipiac women's ice hockey team (22-11-3, 12-9-1 ECAC Hockey) has received a feature article in Thursday's Mar. 3 issue of the New Haven Register. The article, written by Chip Malafronte, highlights the team's growth and maturity, specifically during the last few weeks of the season. The No. 5-seeded Bobcats, which received votes in the latest USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine Women's College Hockey Poll this past Tuesday, Mar 1, take on No. 1-seeded Cornell later today in the Semifinals of the ECAC Hockey playoffs.

Quinnipiac received six votes in the latest USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine Women's College Hockey Poll. The Bobcats have now been recognized with votes in 17 of the 21 USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine Women's College Hockey weekly polls during the 2010-11 season. Earlier this season,

Quinnipiac matched its highest ranking in the program's history when it received a No. 10-ranking for two consecutive weeks, in both the USCHO.com and the USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine Women's College Hockey Poll, during the weeks of January 17 and January 24.

The Bobcats are currently No. 12 in the most recent Women's Division I PairWise Rankings.
