HAMDEN, Conn. - The Quinnipiac women's ice hockey program is highlighted on the New England Hockey Journal's website, www.hockeyjournal.com, in its midseason report of ECAC Women's Hockey clubs. The article, written by Mike Zhe, lists Quinnipiac as a team that poses a serious threat to Cornell, as the Big Red seek its second-consecutive league championship.
With 12 points (just four points behind Cornell), Quinnipiac holds sole possession of second place in ECAC Hockey at the semester break. The squad, led by freshmen forwards Kelly Babstock (Mississauga, Ontario), Erica Uden Johansson (Sundsvall, Sweden), and junior forward Kate Wheeler (Oakville, Ontario) look to continue its winning ways when it resumes play on Monday, Jan. 3 at 1 p.m. against Princeton.
