      <description>HAMDEN, Conn. &#x2013; Quinnipiac Director of Athletics and Recreation Jack McDonald has announced that Paul Nemetz-Carlson has been named assistant coach of the women&#x2019;s ice hockey team. Nemetz-Carlson returns to Quinnipiac, where he served as an assistant coach during the team&#x2019;s inaugural 2001-02 season. Nemetz-Carlson joins the Bobcats coaching staff after previously serving as an assistant coach for Yale from 2008 to 2011.</description>

In addition to the Bobcats' ECAC Hockey slate, Quinnipiac will also play Maine for its home opener on Oct. 7-8, as well as 2011 NCAA Tournament participants Mercyhurst and Boston College. Quinnipiac will also host Syracuse at home on Jan. 27-28.</description>
