Played all four years for the Massachusetts Spitfires as well as playing one year of ice hockey at Barrington High...Named R.I. All-Region and All-State in her senior season at Barrington...Attended the Under-17 USA National Development Camp...Also a Yankee Conference Festival Selection...While playing with the Spitfires, Eklund took part in the USA Nationals in Buffalo, N.Y. in 2006.
