Kerry Brown begins her third season as an assistant coach with
the Quinnipiac women's golf team in 2012. Brown has extensive
leadership and volunteer experience, including stints with the
Heron Society Board of Directors, the Admissions Department at
Hobart and William Smith Colleges, the Farms Women's Golf
Association Board and the Cheshire Junior Women's Club.
"Kerry is a very talented golfer, having won numerous tournaments
and club championships, as well as being well versed in the rules
of golf, having overseen rules seminars locally,"
said Quinnipiac Head Coach John O'Connor.
Brown holds a USGA Index of 5.3 and several golf titles at The
Farms Country Club in Wallingford, Conn. She was named a Club
Champion in 2008 and 2009 and Champion of the Gold Putter
Tournament for three years. Since 2005, Kerry has served as Captain
of the CWGA Past president's Cup Team.
She played an important role in building the girls' lacrosse
program in the Cheshire Girls Lacrosse Club as a Head Coach. Brown
was an Assistant and Head Coach for the Cheshire High School girls'
lacrosse teams between 1996 and 1999.
A graduate of Hobart and William Smith College, with a B.A. in
economics, Brown played lacrosse where she was named USWLA First
Team All-America in 1987 and Brine Regional All-America for two
seasons in 1886 and 1987. Brown was also a member of the ECAC
Championship Team in 1985 and Co-captain in 1987.
Brown currently resides in Cheshire, Conn.
