Quinnipiac women's golf senior captain Jennifer Forlenza (Wayne, N.J.) improved by seven strokes and freshman Emily Ribbins (Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands) turned in the Bobcats' top score on the second of the MAAC Championship at Disney's Palm Golf Course in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. The Bobcats improved on their first round score, but slid a spot into a tie for third place.
"We dropped a couple of strokes, but the story is Jennifer Forlenza with an 84 after shooting a 91 yesterday," head coach John O'Connor said. "Emily Ribbins shot an 81 after her 88 yesterday. We had a couple of bad breaks, with a couple of bad bounces. On this course, if you don't hit your ball at the right speed and the right location you can easily get into a lot of trouble. We're striking the ball well. I'm very please, we're going to hang in there and try to move up tomorrow."
