"Nicole [Scola] shot a 79 in a torrential downpour, which is pretty good," head coach John O'Connor said. "To come back today with a 74 is amazing. She proves every week that she is a big-time player."

The Bobcats shot a combined 651 for the two-day, 36-hole event, improving on Monday's 330 with a 321 for the final round. Scola cut five strokes off her first-day total, finishing the day with a 74 for a two-day 153, good for the third best 36-hole total in program history.

"I'm very pleased with today's round, especially with Emily Ribbins who tallied her best round at Quinnipiac, to date," O'Connor said. "We're showing improvements weekly, thanks to [assistant coaches] Suzy Whaley and Keri Brown who do a great job in setting up practices and working on the players' short games."

Jenn Whaley (Farmington, Conn.) shot an 82 for Tuesday's round to finished with a 162 for the event, good for a tie of 16th place while freshman Emily Ribbins (Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands) finished tied for 20th with a 163. Ribbins shot an 83 on Monday and shaved three strokes off her game for an 80 on the second day.
