Strong Showing for Krissy Unger Paces Bobcats on Day One of Brown Bear Invitational

BARRINGTON, R.I. – Freshman Krissy Unger (New York, N.Y.) finished the first day of the Brown Bear Invitational tied for 25th out of a field of 84 to lead the Quinnipiac University women's tennis team. The Bobcats sit tied for 13th out of the 14-team field and will look to climb the leader board in the final day of the tournament tomorrow.

Unger posted the best score on the team, carding an 80 on the first day. Jenn Whaley (Farmington, Conn.) and Kayla Ketcheson (St. Andrews, Manitoba) totaled scores of 85 and 86, respectively, while Angelica Muscatelli (North Providence, R.I.) posted a 98. Whaley and Katcheson placed within the field's top 60 individuals with their scores.

The Ivy League was dominant through the first day, as Yale (309), Harvard (312) and Columbia (315) claimed the top three slots. Seton Hall and NEC foe LIU Brooklyn (318) tied for fourth; Rutgers and St. John's (320) tied for sixth and Siena (323), Brown (325) and Dartmouth (326) rounded out the top 10.
