Women's Golf Competes in Second Day of C&F Bank Intercollegiate Tournament

The Quinnipiac University women's golf team competed Monday in the second day of the C&F Bank Intercollegiate Tournament at Kingsmill Resort in Williamsburg, Va.  After two days, the Bobcats sit in 21st place.

For the second consecutive day, junior Kayla Ketcheson (St. Andrews, Manitoba) led the charge for the Bobcats. Ketcheson improved on her score from Sunday, carding an 81 (+10) on the day. Ketcheson sits 21 strokes back of the leader, Longwood's Kameron Carter, who shot a 74 (+3) on the day. William & Mary's Kelly Okun shot the best round of the day, recording a 70 (-1).

Freshman Hannah Russell (Monson, Mass.) was second for the Bobcats on the day, recording a 94 (+23). Russell improved by seven strokes from Sunday. Senior Amanda Nagel (Greenwood, Minn.) was third for the Bobcats, tallying a 97 (+26), a three-stroke improvement from the first round. Sophomore Jennifer Forlenza (Wayne, N.J.) was fourth, with a 102 (+31), improving by two strokes from the day before. Senior Stacey Kmill (Thunder Bay, Ontario) rounded out the Bobcats' scoring, recording a 123 on the day.

After two days of play, Longwood sits in first, with a +35, 603, followed by St. Leo (614, +46), Boston College (617, +49), St. John's (620, +52), and Lehigh (621, +53) in the top five. Delaware sits in sixth (622, +54), with Toledo seventh (623, +55), Penn eighth (629, +61), High Point ninth (634, +66), and host William & Mary (636, +68) rounding out the top ten.

Radford (637, +69), Hofstra (651, +83), Central Connecticut (658, +90), Sacred Heart (663, +95), Hampton (669, +101), Monmouth (672, +104), Fairfield (687, +119), Mount St. Mary's (698, +130), St. Francis (Pa.) (700, +132), Towson (747, +179), and Quinnipiac (764, +196) rounded out the scoring.

Quinnipiac returns to action tomorrow for the third and final round at Kingsmill Resort in Williamsburg, Va.
