Women's Golf 13th Out Of 14 At ECAC Division I Championships
First-year Bobcats Kayla Ketcheson (St. Andrews, Manitoba) and Hannah Russell (Monson, Mass.) were both tied for 40th out of 66 golfers to lead Quinnipiac women's golf at the 2011 ECAC Division I Championship. Quinnipiac sits in 13th place, out of 14 competing institutions after the first day of the two-day event.
Ketcheson and Russell both ended the first day of play with an 87, at +15, and 18 strokes off the leader, Hofstra's Lauren Petty at -3. Amanda Nagel (Greenwood, Minn.) sat in 60th place with a 95 (+23) while Jennifer Forlenza (Wayne, N.J.) was tied for 61st with a 96 (+24). Freshman Nicole Ferretti (Rumson, N.J.) was tied for 66th with a 98 (+26).
Quinnipiac continues play on Monday, Oct. 2 with an 8:50 a.m. tee-time.
